Tour Summery

This 4-day spiritual journey covers the sacred Ashtavinayak temples of Lord Ganesha located across Maharashtra. These eight temples are among the most revered pilgrimage destinations for devotees of Lord Ganpati. The tour begins and ends in Pune and follows the traditional Ashtavinayak route.

The journey starts with a visit to Morgaon, home to the Mayureshwar Ganpati Temple, which is considered the starting and ending point of the Ashtavinayak Yatra. The temple is known for its spiritual significance and peaceful surroundings.

The tour then proceeds to Siddhatek to visit Siddhivinayak Temple, followed by Ballaleshwar Temple in Pali and Varadvinayak Temple in Mahad. Each temple has its own unique history and religious importance connected with Lord Ganesha.

The journey continues to Theur to visit Chintamani Ganpati, followed by Girijatmaj Temple at Lenyadri which is located in a cave on a hill. The tour also includes visits to Vighnahar Ganpati at Ozar and Mahaganpati Temple at Ranjangaon.

This pilgrimage offers devotees an opportunity to seek blessings at all eight sacred Ganpati temples while traveling through the beautiful landscapes of Maharashtra before returning to Pune.

Day 1

Day 1 – Pune – Morgaon – Siddhatek – Theur – Ranjangaon

The sacred Ashtavinayak Yatra begins from Pune early in the morning. The first destination is Mayureshwar Ganpati Temple, located in the village of Morgaon. This temple is traditionally considered the starting point of the Ashtavinayak pilgrimage. Devotees offer prayers to Lord Ganesha seeking blessings for a successful journey.

After darshan, proceed towards Siddhivinayak Temple, located on the banks of the Bhima River. This temple is believed to grant success and fulfillment of wishes. Pilgrims often perform a sacred parikrama around the hill near the temple.

The journey continues to Chintamani Ganpati Temple, where devotees seek relief from worries and difficulties.

Later visit Mahaganapati Temple, one of the most powerful forms of Lord Ganesha.

After completing the day’s darshan, check into the hotel for dinner and overnight stay near Ranjangaon or Pune.

Day 3

Day 3 – Mahad – Pali

After breakfast, check out and travel towards the Raigad district to visit the next two Ashtavinayak temples.

First visit Varadvinayak Temple, where devotees pray for fulfillment of wishes and blessings for prosperity.

Next proceed to Ballaleshwar Temple, the only Ashtavinayak temple named after a devotee of Lord Ganesha. The temple reflects the story of a young devotee named Ballal whose deep devotion pleased Lord Ganesha.

The peaceful town of Pali provides a calm spiritual atmosphere for pilgrims.

Dinner and overnight stay near Pali or Khopoli.

Day 2

Day 2 – Ozar – Lenyadri – Junnar Region

After breakfast, begin the day by traveling towards the Junnar region to visit two important Ashtavinayak temples.

First visit Vighnahar Ganpati Temple, dedicated to Lord Ganesha as the remover of obstacles. The temple is known for its beautiful architecture and peaceful surroundings.

Next proceed to Girijatmaj Ganpati Temple, which is unique because the temple is located inside a rock-cut cave on a hill. Devotees climb around 300 steps to reach the temple.

According to legend, this is the place where Goddess Parvati performed penance to have Lord Ganesha as her son.

The surrounding hills and ancient caves create a fascinating spiritual and historical environment.

After darshan return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay in the region.

Day 4

Day 4 – Return to Morgaon and Pune

After breakfast, begin the return journey towards Pune.

According to tradition, the Ashtavinayak Yatra is completed by visiting Mayureshwar Ganpati Temple in Morgaon once again to conclude the pilgrimage.

Devotees offer final prayers and express gratitude to Lord Ganesha for the successful completion of the journey.

After darshan continue the drive to Pune.

  • Any Air/ Train Bookings to be made should be paid 100% in advance

  • In case of offers applied with more than 40% Discount then 100% in Advance.

  • 0% Cancellation for any land package bookings 45 Days before departure.

  • 30% Cancellation for any land package bookings 15 Days before departure.

  • 100% Cancellation for any land package bookings 7 Days before departure.

  • Cancellation of Air/ Train Tickets subject to cancellation policy of respective train/ flight operator.

  • Guest can pay by Cash /Online Transfer/ Cheque/ Demand Draft / Debit card / credit card.

Advanced Preparation

  • As everyone is becoming a frequent traveller now, we suggest that you make your own travel accessories kit to ensure a stress free holiday.

  • Always make sure to carry less and light luggage, use a four wheel small or medium suitcase and please make sure that you are carrying only one suitcase per person. This will ensure that you will travel smartly and without any inconveniences.

  • It is also recommended that you have one cross shoulder bag or haversack for your handy needs which will ensure that you are comfortable at the time of sightseeing and also easy for photography during your tour.
