Day 1

Day 1 – Chandigarh to Dharamshala: Into the Kangra Valley

The journey begins from Chandigarh as travelers head towards the scenic hill town of Dharamshala located in the Kangra Valley of Himachal Pradesh. The drive passes through green plains, charming villages, and gradually climbs into the foothills of the majestic Dhauladhar mountain range.

As the road winds through beautiful landscapes, travelers enjoy views of tea gardens, pine forests, and mountain streams. Short stops can be taken along the way for refreshments and photography.

By afternoon or evening, arrive in Dharamshala and check into the hotel. After some rest, travelers can explore the nearby markets and enjoy the peaceful hill station environment.

The cool mountain air and beautiful surroundings create a refreshing break from city life. The evening can be spent relaxing at the hotel or taking a short walk through the town.

Day 3

Day 3 – Dharamshala to Dalhousie: Scenic Himalayan Drive

After breakfast, check out and begin the journey towards Dalhousie, another beautiful hill station known for its colonial charm and natural beauty.

The drive passes through picturesque mountain landscapes, rivers, and forested hills. Along the route travelers enjoy spectacular views of the Himalayan ranges and peaceful countryside.

Upon arrival in Dalhousie, check into the hotel and relax. Dalhousie is known for its quiet environment, colonial-era architecture, and scenic walking trails.

In the evening explore the lively Gandhi Chowk and Subhash Chowk, which are popular areas with shops, cafés, and viewpoints.

Day 5

Day 5 – Dalhousie to Chandigarh: Return Journey

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin the return journey to Chandigarh.

The drive once again offers beautiful views of valleys, forests, and winding mountain roads. Travelers can stop at scenic viewpoints along the way to enjoy the landscape and take photographs.

As the journey descends from the hills, the landscape gradually changes from mountains to plains. The pleasant memories of the Himalayan hill stations remain with travelers throughout the journey.

By afternoon or evening the group arrives in Chandigarh, marking the end of the tour.

Day 2

Day 2 – Dharamshala & McLeod Ganj Sightseeing

After breakfast, begin sightseeing in Dharamshala and the nearby town of McLeod Ganj, which is famous as the residence of Dalai Lama.

Visit the peaceful Tsuglagkhang Complex, also known as the Dalai Lama Temple. This spiritual center is surrounded by monasteries, prayer wheels, and Tibetan culture.

Next visit the beautiful Bhagsu Waterfall and the nearby Bhagsunag Temple, both located in a scenic natural setting.

Travelers can also visit St. John in the Wilderness Church, a historic church surrounded by tall deodar trees.

The evening can be spent exploring the vibrant cafés, Tibetan markets, and handicraft shops of McLeod Ganj.

Return to the hotel later for dinner and overnight stay in Dharamshala.

Day 4

Day 4 – Khajjiar Excursion: Mini Switzerland of India

After breakfast, proceed for an excursion to Khajjiar, one of the most scenic destinations in Himachal Pradesh. Often called the “Mini Switzerland of India,” this place is famous for its vast green meadows surrounded by dense cedar forests and snow-covered mountains.

The center of the meadow features a small lake, creating a beautiful natural landscape that attracts visitors from all over the country.

Travelers can enjoy horse riding, nature walks, and photography while exploring the peaceful environment. A visit to the ancient Khajji Nag Temple adds a spiritual touch to the excursion.

The open grassy fields and cool mountain breeze make Khajjiar an ideal place for relaxation and enjoying nature.

After spending a memorable day in Khajjiar, return to Dalhousie in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

  • 40% Advance at the Time of booking after receiving Invoice and rest 15 Days prior to tour start date.

  • Any Air/ Train Bookings to be made should be paid 100% in advance

  • In case of offers applied with more than 40% Discount then 100% in Advance.

  • 0% Cancellation for any land package bookings 45 Days before departure.

  • 30% Cancellation for any land package bookings 15 Days before departure.

  • 100% Cancellation for any land package bookings 7 Days before departure.

  • Cancellation of Air/ Train Tickets subject to cancellation policy of respective train/ flight operator.

  • Guest can pay by Cash /Online Transfer/ Cheque/ Demand Draft / Debit card / credit card.

Advanced Preparation

  • As everyone is becoming a frequent traveller now, we suggest that you make your own travel accessories kit to ensure a stress free holiday.

  • Always make sure to carry less and light luggage, use a four wheel small or medium suitcase and please make sure that you are carrying only one suitcase per person. This will ensure that you will travel smartly and without any inconveniences.

  • It is also recommended that you have one cross shoulder bag or haversack for your handy needs which will ensure that you are comfortable at the time of sightseeing and also easy for photography during your tour.

  • A smart cap/hat and sunglasses are definitely something that you should have in your kit.

  • Though Bharatatva provides meals as per the itinerary, you can carry dry snacks of your choice in small sealed packets for munching during air travel or road journeys.

  • If you are travelling during the monsoon or to destinations where it is rainy, please carry a small umbrella or poncho.
