From Bhubaneswar the journey continues to the famous Sun Temple at Konark, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the finest examples of ancient Indian temple architecture. Built in the shape of a giant chariot dedicated to the Sun God, the temple is admired for its magnificent stone carvings and historical importance.

The tour then proceeds to Jagannath Puri, one of the most sacred pilgrimage destinations in India and an important part of the Char Dham pilgrimage. The famous Jagannath Temple attracts millions of devotees every year and is known for its spiritual significance and the grand Rath Yatra festival.

Day 1

Day 1 – Arrival in Bhubaneswar: The Temple City

The journey begins with arrival in Bhubaneswar, the capital city of Odisha, popularly known as the “Temple City of India.” The city is famous for its ancient temples and rich cultural heritage dating back many centuries.

After check-in at the hotel and some rest, begin local sightseeing. Visit the famous Lingaraj Temple, one of the most important temples dedicated to Lord Shiva and a masterpiece of Kalinga architecture.

Next visit Mukteswar Temple, known for its beautiful carvings and intricate stone archways. Travelers may also explore the historic Rajarani Temple, admired for its unique architecture and peaceful surroundings.

In the evening, explore the local markets where traditional handicrafts and Odisha textiles are available. The city’s spiritual atmosphere and temple architecture provide a wonderful introduction to the region.

Day 3

Day 3 – Jagannath Puri Temple Visit

After breakfast, proceed to visit the sacred Jagannath Temple, one of the four holy Char Dham pilgrimage sites in India. The temple is dedicated to Lord Jagannath, a form of Lord Krishna, and holds immense religious importance for devotees.

The temple is famous worldwide for the grand Rath Yatra, during which massive chariots carry the deities through the streets of Puri.

After darshan, explore the bustling markets around the temple area where travelers can purchase traditional handicrafts, seashell products, and souvenirs.

In the afternoon, relax at Puri Beach or explore nearby temples and coastal areas. The calm sound of the sea and the spiritual energy of the temple town make Puri a memorable destination.

Day 5

Day 5 – Puri to Bhubaneswar Departure

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin the journey back to Bhubaneswar.

On the way travelers may visit Dhauli Shanti Stupa, a peaceful Buddhist monument built near the site associated with the historic Kalinga War.

The white stupa and surrounding gardens offer a calm environment and panoramic views of the Daya River.

After sightseeing continue to Bhubaneswar for airport or railway station transfer.

The tour concludes with beautiful memories of ancient temples, sacred pilgrimages, coastal landscapes, and the cultural heritage of Odisha.

Day 2

Day 2 – Bhubaneswar to Puri via Konark

After breakfast, check out and drive towards Puri, one of the most sacred pilgrimage destinations in India. On the way, stop at the historic town of Konark to visit the magnificent Konark Sun Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The temple is designed in the shape of a massive stone chariot dedicated to the Sun God. Its intricately carved wheels, pillars, and sculptures reflect the artistic brilliance of ancient Indian craftsmen.

After exploring the temple complex, continue the drive to Puri and check into the hotel.

In the evening visit Puri Beach where travelers can enjoy a peaceful walk along the Bay of Bengal and watch the beautiful sunset over the sea.

Day 4

Day 4 – Chilika Lake Excursion

After breakfast, proceed for an excursion to the famous Chilika Lake, the largest coastal lagoon in India and one of the most beautiful natural attractions in Odisha.

From Satapada, travelers can take a boat ride across the lake. The waters of Chilika are known for their rich biodiversity and scenic beauty.

During the boat ride visitors often spot the playful Irrawaddy Dolphin, which is one of the highlights of the lake. In winter months the lake also becomes a paradise for migratory birds from different parts of the world.

Enjoy the peaceful natural surroundings and fresh sea breeze before returning to Puri in the evening.

  • 0% Cancellation for any land package bookings 45 Days before departure.

  • 30% Cancellation for any land package bookings 15 Days before departure.

  • 100% Cancellation for any land package bookings 7 Days before departure.

Advanced Preparation

  • As everyone is becoming a frequent traveller now, we suggest that you make your own travel accessories kit to ensure a stress free holiday.
