Day 1
Day 1 – Pune to Raigad: Journey into Maratha History
The tour begins from Pune early in the morning as the group travels towards the historic Raigad Fort, once the capital of the great Maratha ruler Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The drive passes through the scenic Western Ghats with lush green valleys, winding mountain roads, and small rural villages that reflect the beauty of Maharashtra’s countryside.
On arrival at Raigad Fort, travelers can reach the top either by ropeway or by climbing the historic stone steps that lead to the fort. The fort stands proudly on a hill and offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding Sahyadri mountains. Inside the fort complex, visitors explore the Raj Darbar, the place where Shivaji Maharaj was coronated as the king of the Maratha Empire. The sacred Samadhi of Shivaji Maharaj is also an important place where visitors pay their respects.

Day 3 – Malvan & Tarkarli Sightseeing
After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing around Malvan and nearby coastal attractions. The first major visit is to the historic Sindhudurg Fort, a magnificent sea fort built by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the 17th century. The fort stands proudly in the Arabian Sea and was designed as a strong naval defense structure. Visitors reach the fort by a short boat ride from Malvan jetty.
Inside the fort, travelers can explore ancient walls, temples, and hidden passages that tell stories of Maratha naval power. The fort also contains a rare temple dedicated to Shivaji Maharaj.

Day 5 – Kankavli to Pune: Return through the Sahyadris

As the journey progresses, the landscape gradually changes from mountains to coastal plains.
On arrival in Malvan, check into the hotel and relax for a while. Malvan is a peaceful coastal town known for its traditional Konkan culture, fishing communities, and delicious Malvani cuisine. The aroma of coconut, spices, and fresh seafood fills the air in this charming town.
