Tour Summery

This 6-day journey through Tamil Nadu offers a wonderful experience of South India’s spiritual heritage, historic temples and coastal beauty. The tour begins from Trivandrum and proceeds towards Madurai, one of the oldest and most important temple cities in India.

Madurai is famous for the magnificent Meenakshi Amman Temple, an architectural masterpiece known for its towering gopurams, colorful sculptures and rich history. The temple attracts thousands of devotees and travelers every year.

The journey then continues to Rameshwaram, one of the most sacred pilgrimage destinations in India and an important part of the Char Dham Yatra. The famous Ramanathaswamy Temple is known for its long corridors and sacred wells where devotees take holy baths. The town is also closely connected with the Ramayana, as it is believed that Lord Rama built the Ram Setu from here to reach Lanka.

The tour further proceeds to Kanyakumari, the southernmost tip of India where the Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal and Indian Ocean meet. Visitors can witness the spectacular sunrise and sunset over the ocean and visit the famous Vivekananda Rock Memorial and Thiruvalluvar Statue.

The journey concludes with a return to Trivandrum, leaving travelers with unforgettable memories of South India’s temples, culture and coastal landscapes.

Day 1

Day 1 – Arrival at Thiruvananthapuram and Transfer to Madurai

The journey begins with arrival at Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of Kerala. From here travelers proceed towards Madurai, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in India and an important cultural center of Tamil Nadu.

The drive passes through scenic countryside, small towns, and agricultural landscapes of southern India. On arrival in Madurai, check into the hotel and relax.

In the evening visit the magnificent Meenakshi Amman Temple, one of the most famous temples in South India dedicated to Goddess Meenakshi and Lord Sundareswarar. The temple complex is known for its towering gopurams covered with colorful sculptures.

Witness the evening temple rituals and experience the vibrant spiritual atmosphere of the temple.

Day 3

Day 3 – Madurai to Rameshwaram

After breakfast, check out and proceed towards Rameshwaram, one of the holiest pilgrimage sites in India and part of the Char Dham Yatra.

The journey includes crossing the famous Pamban Bridge, India’s first sea bridge that connects the island of Rameswaram with the mainland. The view of the sea on both sides of the bridge creates a spectacular travel experience.

On arrival visit the sacred Ramanathaswamy Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlinga temples of Lord Shiva. The temple is famous for its long corridors and sacred wells where pilgrims perform ritual bathing.

Later visit Agni Theertham, a sacred beach where devotees take a holy dip.

Day 5

Day 5 – Kanyakumari Sightseeing and Return to Thiruvananthapuram

Early morning travelers can witness the breathtaking sunrise over the ocean, one of the most famous experiences in Kanyakumari.

After breakfast, visit the sacred Kanyakumari Amman Temple, dedicated to Goddess Kanyakumari.

Later begin the journey towards Thiruvananthapuram. The drive passes through scenic coastal landscapes and small towns of southern India.

Day 2

Day 2 – Madurai Sightseeing

After breakfast, continue exploring the historic city of Madurai. Begin with a detailed visit to the Meenakshi Temple complex to admire its intricate architecture and vast halls supported by beautifully carved pillars.

Next visit Thirumalai Nayakkar Palace, a grand palace built in the 17th century that reflects a blend of Dravidian and Islamic architectural styles.

Travelers may also explore local markets around the temple area which are famous for traditional handicrafts, textiles, and South Indian sweets.

Madurai is known for its rich culture, ancient temples, and vibrant city life that has existed for thousands of years.

Day 4

Day 4 – Rameshwaram to Kanyakumari

After breakfast, check out and drive towards Kanyakumari, the southernmost tip of mainland India where the Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal, and Indian Ocean meet.

Upon arrival check into the hotel and relax. In the evening visit the famous Kanyakumari Beach to witness a spectacular sunset over the ocean.

Travelers can also see the majestic Vivekananda Rock Memorial, built at the spot where Swami Vivekananda meditated before beginning his spiritual mission.

Nearby stands the impressive Thiruvalluvar Statue, dedicated to the famous Tamil poet and philosopher Thiruvalluvar.

Day 6

Day 6 – Departure from Thiruvananthapuram

After breakfast, check out from the hotel.

Depending on available time travelers may visit the famous Padmanabhaswamy Temple, one of the richest temples in the world and dedicated to Lord Vishnu.

Later transfer to the airport or railway station for the onward journey.

The tour concludes with memorable experiences of ancient temples, sacred coastal landscapes, and the cultural richness of southern India.

  • 0% Cancellation for any land package bookings 45 Days before departure.

  • 30% Cancellation for any land package bookings 15 Days before departure.

  • 100% Cancellation for any land package bookings 7 Days before departure.

  • Cancellation of Air/ Train Tickets subject to cancellation policy of respective train/ flight operator.

Advanced Preparation

  • As everyone is becoming a frequent traveller now, we suggest that you make your own travel accessories kit to ensure a stress free holiday.
