Tour Summery

This 6-day journey through Darjeeling and Sikkim offers a breathtaking experience of the Eastern Himalayas, combining scenic hill stations, monasteries and spectacular mountain views. The tour begins from Siliguri and proceeds towards Darjeeling, one of the most famous hill stations in West Bengal, known for its tea gardens and panoramic views of the Kanchenjunga mountain range.

In Darjeeling, travelers will visit popular attractions such as Tiger Hill for a beautiful sunrise view over the Himalayas, Batasia Loop and the famous Ghoom Monastery. The town also offers charming colonial architecture and lively local markets.

The journey then continues to Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim. Surrounded by mountains and monasteries, Gangtok offers a perfect mix of natural beauty and cultural experiences. Visitors can explore attractions like Tsomgo Lake, Baba Mandir and MG Marg.

The tour further proceeds to Pelling, a peaceful hill town known for its spectacular views of Mount Kanchenjunga and beautiful monasteries. Pelling also offers attractions such as the Sky Walk, Pemayangtse Monastery and Rabdentse Ruins.

Day 1

Day 1 – Siliguri to Darjeeling: Queen of the Hills

The journey begins from Siliguri, the gateway to the Eastern Himalayas. From here travelers proceed towards Darjeeling, one of the most famous hill stations in India. The drive gradually climbs through winding mountain roads, lush forests, and tea plantations.

As the road ascends into the hills, beautiful views of the Himalayas begin to appear. On arrival in Darjeeling, check into the hotel and relax.

In the evening travelers can explore the lively Mall Road and nearby markets where handicrafts, woollen clothes, and famous Darjeeling tea are available.

The cool mountain air and charming colonial atmosphere make Darjeeling a pleasant introduction to the Himalayan region.

Day 3

Day 3 – Darjeeling to Gangtok

After breakfast, check out and drive towards Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim. The journey passes through scenic mountain roads and river valleys alongside the beautiful Teesta River.

Upon arrival in Gangtok, check into the hotel and relax.

In the evening explore the vibrant MG Marg, a popular pedestrian street filled with cafés, shops, and restaurants. The clean streets and lively atmosphere make MG Marg one of the most enjoyable places in the city.

Day 5

Day 5 – Gangtok to Pelling

After breakfast, check out and drive towards Pelling, a beautiful hill town in western Sikkim known for its spectacular mountain views.

The journey offers scenic views of forests, valleys, and rivers. Upon arrival check into the hotel and begin sightseeing.

Visit the stunning Pemayangtse Monastery, one of the oldest monasteries in the region.

Next visit the Sky Walk, which offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys along with a giant statue of Guru Padmasambhava.

Day 2

Day 2 – Darjeeling Sightseeing

Early morning visit Tiger Hill to witness a spectacular sunrise over the Himalayas. On clear days travelers can see the golden glow of the majestic Kanchenjunga, the third highest mountain in the world.


After returning to the hotel for breakfast, continue sightseeing in Darjeeling. Visit the peaceful Ghoom Monastery, one of the oldest monasteries in the region.


Later explore Batasia Loop, a unique railway loop that offers panoramic views of the mountains and the famous Darjeeling Himalayan Railway.


Travelers may also visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and tea gardens nearby.

Day 4

Day 4 – Gangtok Sightseeing

After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing around Gangtok. Visit the sacred Tsomgo Lake, a beautiful glacial lake located at a high altitude and surrounded by snow-covered mountains.

Nearby travelers can visit the famous Baba Harbhajan Singh Temple, dedicated to an Indian army soldier believed to protect the region.

Later return to Gangtok and visit the peaceful Rumtek Monastery, one of the most important Buddhist monasteries in Sikkim.

The rest of the evening can be spent exploring MG Marg again or relaxing at the hotel.

Day 6

Day 6 – Pelling to Siliguri

After breakfast, check out and begin the return journey towards Siliguri.

The drive once again passes through the beautiful Himalayan landscapes of Sikkim and the Teesta River valley. Travelers can enjoy the scenic beauty and peaceful surroundings along the route.

By afternoon or evening arrive in Siliguri for onward journey.

The tour concludes with wonderful memories of snow-covered Himalayan peaks, peaceful monasteries, tea gardens, and charming hill towns of Darjeeling, Gangtok, and Pelling.

Advanced Preparation

  • As everyone is becoming a frequent traveller now, we suggest that you make your own travel accessories kit to ensure a stress free holiday.

  • Always make sure to carry less and light luggage, use a four wheel small or medium suitcase and please make sure that you are carrying only one suitcase per person. This will ensure that you will travel smartly and without any inconveniences.
