According to legend, Bhairava and the demoness Mohini fought here, and the black stones are seen as a divine memory of that event. A temple of Lord Shiva sits between the rocks, with naturally dripping water from the rocks forming a continuous abhishekam.

After exploring the area, return to Sirsi and enjoy lunch. If time and energy permit, you may opt to visit Vibhooti Falls, a serene waterfall nearby surrounded by thick forest—a refreshing dip or photo opportunity awaits.
