Here you will visit remarkable attractions such as Nohkalikai Falls, Seven Sisters Falls, Mawsmai Cave and Eco Park, offering breathtaking views of deep valleys and lush greenery.A special highlight of the tour is the excursion to Dawki and Mawlynnong Village. Day wise Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival in Guwahati & Scenic Drive to Shillong
Your journey to the beautiful hills of Meghalaya begins with your arrival at Guwahati Airport at around 15:00 hrs. After completing the arrival formalities, our representative will warmly welcome your group and introduce the drivers who will accompany you throughout the tour. As the group consists of seven adults and one infant, two comfortable AC SUVs (Innova / Xylo or similar) will be arranged to ensure a relaxed and convenient journey for everyone.
Soon after the pickup, the drive begins towards Shillong, the charming hill capital of Meghalaya, popularly known as the “Scotland of the East.” The drive from Guwahati to Shillong takes approximately three to three and a half hours and gradually climbs through beautiful green hills and forests. The pleasant weather and scenic landscape make the journey itself a memorable experience.
On the way, you will stop at the picturesque Umiam Lake, also known as Barapani Lake. Surrounded by hills and pine forests, this large lake is one of the most beautiful places in the region. The calm water reflecting the sky and the surrounding hills creates a peaceful and refreshing atmosphere. Visitors usually enjoy taking photographs and spending a few relaxing moments by the lake.
After the short stop, continue the journey towards Shillong. Upon arrival in the city, check into the hotel and take some time to relax after the travel.
In the evening, you may explore Police Bazaar, the main market area of Shillong. The market is lively and filled with shops selling local handicrafts, woollen clothes and souvenirs. Small cafés and restaurants around the market also offer a chance to experience the local food and culture.

Day 2 – Discovering the Beauty of Shillong
The morning in Shillong begins with fresh mountain air and a peaceful atmosphere. After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, the day is dedicated to exploring the beautiful attractions of this charming hill city. Shillong is known for its pleasant climate, natural beauty and vibrant culture, making it one of the most loved destinations in Northeast India.
The day begins with a visit to Shillong Peak, the highest point in the city. From here visitors can enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of Shillong and the surrounding hills. On a clear day, the view of the entire city spread across the valleys is truly impressive.
Next you will visit Elephant Falls, one of the most famous waterfalls in Meghalaya. The waterfall flows down through three different levels surrounded by thick greenery, creating a refreshing natural setting. The sound of the flowing water and the cool breeze make this place very relaxing.
The journey continues to Ward’s Lake, located in the centre of the city. The lake is surrounded by beautiful gardens and walking paths where visitors can enjoy a peaceful stroll. It is one of the most popular relaxation spots in Shillong.
Later visit the Don Bosco Museum, which is one of the finest museums in Northeast India. The museum displays the rich culture, traditions and lifestyle of the tribes of the region through fascinating exhibits.

Day 3 – Journey to Cherrapunji, the Land of Waterfalls
After breakfast at the hotel, check out and prepare for a scenic drive towards Cherrapunji, one of the most famous destinations in Meghalaya. Known for its dramatic landscapes, waterfalls and misty hills, Cherrapunji is often remembered as one of the wettest places on earth.
The journey from Shillong to Cherrapunji takes about two to two and a half hours, passing through beautiful winding roads surrounded by valleys and forests. During the drive you will stop at the breathtaking Mawkdok Dympep Valley View Point. From here you can see deep green valleys stretching far into the distance, creating one of the most scenic views in Meghalaya. The cool breeze and panoramic landscape make it an ideal photography stop.
Continuing the journey, you will soon reach Cherrapunji and begin exploring its famous attractions.
One of the highlights of the day is the spectacular Nohkalikai Falls, one of the tallest waterfalls in India. From the viewpoint you can see the water plunging dramatically from a high cliff into a turquoise pool below. The surrounding cliffs and lush greenery create an unforgettable natural scene.
Next visit the magnificent Seven Sisters Falls, where water flows down the cliffs in multiple streams. During the rainy season the waterfall becomes even more impressive.
Later explore Mawsmai Cave, a natural limestone cave known for its unique rock formations. Walking through the cave passages is an exciting experience.
Another interesting stop is Eco Park, which offers wide views of the surrounding valleys and the distant plains of Bangladesh.

Day 4 – Excursion to Dawki & Mawlynnong Village
After breakfast at the resort, prepare for a beautiful excursion to Dawki and Mawlynnong Village, two of the most unique destinations in Meghalaya. The drive itself is very scenic, passing through hills, forests and small Khasi villages.
The first stop of the day is Dawki, a small town located near the India–Bangladesh border. Dawki is famous for the crystal clear Umngot River, one of the cleanest rivers in India. The water here is so transparent that boats appear to float in the air. Visitors often enjoy a peaceful boat ride on the river (optional and payable directly) while admiring the surrounding hills and natural beauty.
After spending some time by the river, continue the journey towards Mawlynnong Village, which is popularly known as the Cleanest Village in Asia. The village is extremely well maintained by the local community and offers a wonderful glimpse into the rural lifestyle of Meghalaya. Walking through the clean stone pathways and bamboo houses gives visitors a peaceful and authentic village experience.
Nearby you can also visit the famous Living Root Bridge, a natural bridge formed by the roots of rubber trees. These bridges are grown over many years by guiding tree roots across streams, making them one of the most fascinating examples of traditional Khasi engineering.
Another attraction is the Sky View Tower, a bamboo structure from where visitors can see the plains of Bangladesh in the distance.

Day 5 – Return to Guwahati & Visit to Kamakhya Temple
After breakfast at the resort in Cherrapunji, the morning begins with a relaxed start before checking out from the hotel. Today the journey continues back towards Guwahati, the gateway city of Northeast India. The drive from Cherrapunji to Guwahati takes around five to six hours, passing through scenic hills of Meghalaya before gradually descending into the plains of Assam.
As the road winds through valleys and forests, travelers can enjoy the changing landscape along the way. The cool mountain air of Meghalaya slowly gives way to the warmer climate of the Assam plains. Small villages, green fields and roadside markets can be seen during the drive, giving visitors a glimpse into the everyday life of the region.
Upon reaching Guwahati, check into the hotel and take some time to relax after the journey.
In the evening, the itinerary includes a visit to the famous Kamakhya Temple, one of the most sacred and important temples dedicated to Goddess Shakti in India. The first visit of the day is to Umananda Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. This temple is located on Peacock Island, a small island situated in the middle of the Brahmaputra River. To reach the temple, visitors take a short ferry ride across the river. The peaceful setting of the temple and the surrounding river views create a unique spiritual experience.
