Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 – 3 May

Arrival in Bangalore – Garden City Exploration

Your South India journey begins with arrival in Bangalore, the capital city of Karnataka and one of India’s most vibrant metropolitan cities. Often referred to as the “Garden City of India,” Bangalore is known for its pleasant climate, green parks, and lively atmosphere. Upon arrival at Bangalore Airport or Railway Station, guests are welcomed and transferred to the hotel for check-in.

After freshening up and some relaxation, the day begins with a short city sightseeing tour. The first stop is Lalbagh Botanical Garden, one of the most famous gardens in India. Spread across a large area, this historic garden features thousands of species of plants, beautiful walking paths, and the famous glass house inspired by London’s Crystal Palace. Visitors can enjoy a peaceful walk amidst colorful flowers and lush greenery.

Next, proceed to Cubbon Park, another green oasis located in the heart of the city. Surrounded by colonial buildings and shaded pathways, the park offers a refreshing break from the city’s busy environment.

Later visit the magnificent Bangalore Palace, a beautiful structure built in Tudor-style architecture. The palace reflects royal elegance with grand interiors, wooden carvings, and historical photographs that give visitors a glimpse into the lifestyle of the Mysore royal family.

Day 2 – 4 May

Bangalore to Mysore – Journey into Royal Karnataka

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin the scenic drive towards Mysore, located approximately 150 km from Bangalore. The journey takes around three to four hours and passes through beautiful countryside landscapes and small towns of Karnataka.

En route, the first stop is Srirangapatna, a historic island town located on the banks of the Kaveri River. This place was once the capital of Tipu Sultan and holds great historical importance. Visit the famous Ranganathaswamy Temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The temple is known for its beautiful Dravidian architecture and spiritual significance.

Next, visit Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace, also known as Daria Daulat Bagh. The palace is built mainly of teakwood and features beautiful carvings and paintings that depict scenes from Tipu Sultan’s life and battles.

After exploring Srirangapatna, continue the drive towards Mysore. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and relax.

Day 3 – 5 May

Mysore to Ooty – Entering the Queen of Hill Stations

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed towards Ooty, one of the most beautiful hill stations in South India. Located about 125 km from Mysore, the journey to Ooty takes around four hours and passes through scenic forest regions and winding mountain roads.

The drive through Bandipur National Park is one of the highlights of the day. This region is known for its dense forests and wildlife, and travelers may even spot deer, elephants, or peacocks along the way.

As the vehicle climbs higher into the Nilgiri Hills, the landscape changes dramatically. The air becomes cooler and the surroundings are filled with tea plantations, eucalyptus trees, and misty mountain views.

Upon arrival in Ooty, check in at the hotel and relax for some time.

After breakfast, begin a full day of sightseeing in Ooty, popularly known as the “Queen of Hill Stations.” Nestled in the Nilgiri Hills at an altitude of about 2,240 meters, Ooty is famous for its cool climate, tea plantations, and scenic viewpoints.

The day starts with a visit to the Government Botanical Garden, one of the most well-known attractions in Ooty. Spread across nearly 55 acres, the garden is beautifully landscaped with a wide variety of plants, colorful flowers, rare trees, and well-maintained lawns. One of the main attractions here is a fossil tree believed to be more than 20 million years old.

Next, proceed to Doddabetta Peak, the highest point in the Nilgiri Hills. From the viewpoint, visitors can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, forests, and valleys. The fresh mountain air and scenic surroundings make it a memorable experience.

Later visit the Tea Factory and Tea Museum where travelers can see how the famous Nilgiri tea is processed. Guests can also taste different varieties of fresh tea and purchase tea products.

Day 5 – 7 May

After breakfast, proceed for an excursion to Coonoor, a charming hill town located about 20 km from Ooty. The drive to Coonoor is extremely scenic and passes through rolling tea plantations, small villages, and mist-covered hills.

The first stop is Sim’s Park, a beautiful botanical garden spread across a natural valley. The park houses rare plant species, exotic trees, and colorful flower beds, making it a peaceful place to explore.

Next visit Lamb’s Rock viewpoint which offers breathtaking views of the Nilgiri Hills and surrounding tea plantations. The viewpoint is a popular photography spot because of its dramatic valley views.

Another highlight is Dolphin’s Nose viewpoint, which provides a panoramic view of the valleys and the famous Catherine Falls in the distance. The cool breeze and misty atmosphere create a magical experience for visitors.

During the excursion, travelers can also see large tea estates where the famous Nilgiri tea is grown. The green carpet-like tea gardens spread across the hills create some of the most beautiful landscapes in South India.

After enjoying the scenic beauty of Coonoor, return to Ooty in the afternoon.

Day 6 – 8 May

Ooty to Coimbatore – Spiritual Experience at Adiyogi

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive towards Coimbatore, located approximately 90 km from Ooty. The journey takes around three hours and offers beautiful views as the road descends from the Nilgiri Hills into the plains of Tamil Nadu.

Upon arrival in Coimbatore, check in at the hotel and relax.

Later in the day, visit the famous Isha Yoga Center, located at the foothills of the Velliangiri Mountains. The center was founded by Sadhguru and has become one of the most important spiritual destinations in India.

The main highlight of the visit is the majestic Adiyogi Shiva statue, a 112-foot tall statue dedicated to Lord Shiva as the first yogi. The statue symbolizes the origin of yoga and attracts thousands of visitors from around the world.

Visitors can also spend time in the peaceful Dhyanalinga meditation hall, which is designed for silent meditation and spiritual reflection.

Day 7 – 9 May

Coimbatore – Departure

After breakfast, guests check out from the hotel in Coimbatore. Depending on the departure schedule, the morning can be used for a short local visit or some relaxed time in the city.

Guests may visit the famous Marudamalai Temple, a beautiful hill temple dedicated to Lord Murugan located on the outskirts of the city. The temple sits on a small hill and offers peaceful surroundings along with scenic views of the nearby landscape. It is an important spiritual place in the region and attracts many devotees.

Another option is to explore Brookefields Mall or local markets in Coimbatore where travelers can purchase local products, textiles, spices, and souvenirs. Coimbatore is well known for its textile industry and cotton products.

If not visited the previous evening, travelers may also spend time at the Isha Yoga Center again to experience the calm atmosphere and take photographs near the magnificent Adiyogi Shiva statue. Many visitors like to spend some quiet moments in the Dhyanalinga meditation space before concluding their journey.

Later, guests are transferred to Coimbatore Airport or Railway Station for their onward journey.
