Day wise Itinerary

DAY 1 – Arrival in Kochi & Journey to Munnar

30 January

Your journey to God’s Own Country begins the moment you land at Kochi Airport. The warm tropical breeze, the scent of coconut trees, and Kerala’s calm atmosphere immediately make you feel welcome. After meeting your tour coordinator, you begin your scenic drive towards Munnar — one of India’s most stunning hill stations.

As the road climbs gently upward, the scenery changes beautifully. The busy city slowly fades, replaced by lush greenery, rolling hills and mist-covered valleys. You pass by gorgeous waterfalls flowing down the mountainsides, small tea shops with the aroma of freshly brewed Kerala chai, and never–ending stretches of tea gardens glowing in shades of green.

Halfway through the journey, you stop at a beautiful viewpoint to stretch your legs and click some memorable photos. The cool breeze, white drifting clouds, and the sight of mountains layered one behind another create the perfect start to your holiday.

By late afternoon, you reach Munnar and check in to your hotel. After a short rest, you can explore the surroundings, enjoy a peaceful walk, or simply relax with a cup of hot tea while watching the sunset paint the hills golden.

Your Kerala trip begins with calmness, beauty, and the promise of wonderful days ahead.

DAY 2 – Exploring the Natural Wonders of Munnar

31 January

Your second morning in Kerala begins with the refreshing chill of Munnar’s hill breeze. After a warm breakfast, you set out for a full-day exploration of this enchanting hill station. The road winds through endless tea plantations that look like green velvet spread across the mountains. Every turn reveals a picture-perfect landscape, making you fall in love with Munnar even more.

Your first stop is Eravikulam National Park, home to the rare Nilgiri Tahr. As you travel up the slopes, the views become truly breathtaking — mist dancing over the valleys, sunlight breaking through the clouds, and the rolling hills stretching as far as your eyes can see. The walk inside the park feels peaceful, surrounded by untouched nature.

Next, you visit the Tea Museum, where you get to learn how Munnar became one of India’s most iconic tea-growing regions. The aroma of freshly processed tea fills the air, making the experience truly delightful.

In the afternoon, you continue exploring nearby viewpoints and enjoy the cool mountain winds. Optional activities include visiting local spice shops or trying Kerala snacks.

By evening, you return to your hotel for a relaxed dinner. The night in Munnar is calm, starry and magical — the perfect ending to a beautiful day amidst nature.

DAY 3 – Scenic Lakes, Misty Hills & Picture-Perfect Munnar

1 February

Your third day in Munnar begins with a gentle sunrise over the hills, filling the valley with soft golden light. After breakfast, you start your sightseeing with some of the most iconic and photogenic spots in the region.

Your first stop is Photo Point, where the silver oak trees and endless tea gardens create a dreamy backdrop. It’s the kind of place where every picture looks like a postcard. From here, you proceed to the serene Mattupetty Dam, known for its still waters that reflect the surrounding hills like a giant mirror. A pleasant breeze flows across the lake, making it a peaceful spot to relax.

Next, you visit the famous Echo Point, where your voice comes back to you from the mountains — a fun experience for everyone. A short drive ahead brings you to Kundala Lake, a calm and charming location where cherry blossoms bloom in certain seasons. Here, you may enjoy optional activities like a pedal boat or a simple lakeside walk.

In the afternoon, you return to Munnar Town for some shopping — aromatic spices, tea packets, handmade chocolates, and local handicrafts are popular picks.

By evening, you settle back into your hotel, enjoying a warm dinner and the cool mountain wind that makes Munnar so unforgettable.

DAY 4 – Journey from Munnar to Thekkady: Into the Land of Spices & Forests

2 February

Your final morning in Munnar begins with a soft breeze drifting through the hills. After breakfast, you check out and begin your beautiful road journey towards Thekkady, Kerala’s famous spice and wildlife region. The landscape slowly changes as you descend from the misty mountains of Munnar into warmer valleys filled with dense forests, cardamom plantations and pepper vines.

Along the way, you pass through tiny village markets selling fresh fruits, spices and homemade chocolates. The scent of cardamom and cinnamon in the air announces your arrival into Thekkady’s spice country. Once you reach, you check into your hotel and enjoy a refreshing lunch.

In the afternoon, you visit a Spice Garden, where a guide shows you how Kerala’s world-famous spices like pepper, nutmeg, clove and vanilla are grown. Walking among the green plantations feels soothing and enriching.

Later, you head to the beautiful Periyar Lake area. If available, you may opt for a boat safari (optional), where you glide gently through the calm waters, surrounded by forests and wildlife. If you are lucky, you might spot elephants, deer or playful otters near the shore.

In the evening, enjoy traditional Kerala cultural performances like Kathakali or Kalaripayattu (optional) — a perfect way to end your first night in Thekkady.

The day ends with peace, nature and the earthy aroma of spices all around you.

DAY 5 – Nature, Adventure & Calm Moments in Thekkady

3 February

Your second day in Thekkady begins with the fresh smell of forests and spice-scented air. After breakfast, you step out to experience the wild and adventurous side of this beautiful region. Thekkady, being home to Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, offers several unique nature activities.

If you wish, the day can start with an early morning jungle safari (optional) — a serene experience where the forest slowly wakes up and sunlight filters through the tall trees. Birds chirp, monkeys leap from branch to branch, and if luck favours, you may even spot wild elephants or bison.

Later, you can enjoy a guided nature walk or bamboo rafting (optional), where you float peacefully through calm waters surrounded by dense greenery. It’s the kind of silence that heals the mind.

By afternoon, you return to the town to explore local spice markets. Shelves filled with freshly packed cardamom, cinnamon, cloves and pepper give you the perfect opportunity to take home the true flavour of Kerala. You may also enjoy some local snacks, herbal tea or homemade chocolates.

Evening is kept free for leisure. Many travellers choose to relax at the hotel, take an Ayurvedic massage (optional), or watch a cultural performance if they missed it earlier.

The day ends quietly, with the forest breeze whispering through the night — a reminder of Thekkady’s serene beauty.

DAY 6 – Thekkady to Alleppey: Entering the Calm World of Backwaters

4 February

This morning, you say goodbye to the forests of Thekkady and begin your beautiful journey towards Alleppey, the heart of Kerala’s backwater paradise. As you drive down the winding roads, the scenery gradually transforms — tall forests give way to green paddy fields, coconut groves and narrow canals glistening under the sun.

By midday, you arrive in Alleppey, where the serene backwaters welcome you with their unique charm. After checking in, you head for your backwater experience, the highlight of any Kerala trip. Whether on a houseboat or a peaceful day cruise, the feeling is magical.

The boat glides gently over the calm waters as you watch life unfold along the banks: fishermen casting their nets, women washing clothes by the river, children waving happily, and little village homes reflected perfectly in the water. Coconut trees sway gracefully along the banks, and the warm breeze adds to the charm.

A delicious Kerala-style lunch is served on board, and every bite tastes even better with the view around you. The afternoon drifts by slowly, giving you time to relax, enjoy photography or simply sit back and watch nature create its own rhythm.

By evening, the sky turns shades of orange and pink as the sun sets over the backwaters — a moment you will remember forever. The quietness of Alleppey soothes the mind and fills your heart with peace.

DAY 7 – Alleppey to Kochi (Ernakulam): Culture, History & Coastal Charm

5 February

You wake up to the gentle calm of Alleppey’s morning breeze. After breakfast, you check out and begin your journey to Kochi (Ernakulam) — a vibrant coastal city where history, culture and modern life blend beautifully. As you approach Kochi, the scenery changes once again, from peaceful backwaters to bustling streets lined with cafes, markets and colonial-era buildings.

Your first visit is to Fort Kochi, the oldest European settlement in India. The narrow streets, colorful walls, and charming old houses transport you to another time. The iconic Chinese Fishing Nets, gracefully stretching over the shoreline, create picture-perfect moments—especially when fishermen demonstrate the traditional fishing technique.

Next, you explore the Mattancherry Palace (Dutch Palace), showcasing Kerala’s royal history and beautifully detailed murals depicting scenes from the Ramayana. A short walk away is the Jewish Synagogue, one of the oldest in the country, with its antique chandeliers and hand-painted tiles.

Later, you head to Marine Drive, Kochi’s scenic waterfront promenade. As the cool sea breeze flows over the walkway and boats pass gently by, you enjoy the relaxing coastal atmosphere.

By evening, you check in to your hotel and unwind after a culturally rich day. Kochi’s blend of history, flavors and coastal charm sets the perfect tone for the next part of your journey.

DAY 8 – Kochi to Kovalam: A Beautiful Journey to the Sea

6 February

Your day begins with a hearty breakfast in Kochi, followed by check-out as you prepare for your scenic drive to Kovalam, one of Kerala’s most loved beach destinations. As you leave the city behind, the landscape slowly transforms—lush coconut plantations, coastal villages, tiny roadside tea stalls, and glimpses of the Arabian Sea keep you company along the way.

By afternoon, you arrive in Kovalam, where the sound of crashing waves and the salty sea breeze greet you warmly. After checking in to your beachside hotel, you take some time to relax, freshen up and embrace the slow, peaceful rhythm of coastal life.

Your first visit is to the famous Lighthouse Beach, known for its golden sand, turquoise water and the iconic red-and-white lighthouse standing tall at the edge of the shore. A gentle walk along the beach, waves touching your feet, fills you with a refreshing sense of freedom. You may also climb up the lighthouse (optional) for panoramic views of the vast Arabian Sea.

As the sun begins to set, the entire sky glows in shades of orange, pink and purple, creating an unforgettable backdrop. The cool evening breeze, the rhythmic sound of the waves and the laid-back atmosphere make this one of the most relaxing evenings of your trip.

You return to your hotel with a calm heart, ready for more coastal wonders on the next day.

DAY 9 – Kovalam & Trivandrum: Temples, Culture and Coastal Bliss

7 February

You begin your day in Kovalam with the soothing sound of waves and a refreshing sea breeze drifting into your balcony. After breakfast, you set out for a beautiful blend of spirituality, culture and coastal charm as you explore Trivandrum (Thiruvananthapuram), the capital city of Kerala.

Your first stop is the world-famous Padmanabhaswamy Temple, a stunning example of Dravidian architecture. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, the temple’s golden towers, intricate carvings and divine atmosphere fill you with peace and devotion. Even standing outside its majestic gates feels spiritually uplifting.

Next, you visit the Napier Museum and Art Gallery, where Kerala’s rich culture, ancient artefacts and striking artworks offer a glimpse into the region’s glorious past. The lush gardens surrounding the museum add to the calm, leisurely mood.

After exploring the city, you return to Kovalam Beach for a relaxed afternoon. The soft sand, tall palm trees and gentle waves create the perfect setting to unwind. You can enjoy swimming, sunbathing, or simply sit by the shore watching fishermen pull in their nets.

As evening approaches, the beach turns into a golden canvas under the setting sun. A leisurely walk along the shore, with cool waves touching your feet, becomes the perfect end to your day.

You head back to the hotel for dinner, cherishing the blend of spirituality and seaside serenity experienced today.

DAY 10 – Kovalam to Trivandrum/Kochi: A Heartfelt Goodbye to Kerala

8 February

Your final morning in Kerala arrives with the soft whisper of the waves and a cool sea breeze brushing past your window. After breakfast, you take a quiet moment to step out onto the beach one last time. The rhythmic sound of the ocean, the warm golden sunlight and the peaceful atmosphere of Kovalam wrap your journey in a gentle farewell.

You return to the hotel, check out and begin your drive towards Trivandrum or Kochi Airport (as per your departure plan). The road winds through coastal villages, coconut groves and familiar sights that now feel like old friends. Along the way, you chat, share memories, laugh about moments from the trip, and reflect on the beauty experienced over the past ten days.

Every part of this journey stays with you —the misty hills of Munnar, the forests and spices of Thekkady, the quiet backwaters of Alleppey, the cultural charm of Kochi, and the golden beaches of Kovalam.

As you reach the airport, there is a comforting sense of fulfillment. The trip may be ending, but the memories, photos, laughter, flavours and peaceful moments collected in Kerala will travel back home with you.
