Day wise Itinerary

Day 1: NJP/Bagdogra to Darjeeling (Approx. 3–4 Hours)

Your journey to the beautiful Eastern Himalayas begins as you arrive at NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport. Our representative will warmly welcome you and assist you with your transfer to Darjeeling. As your vehicle starts climbing the hills, you will notice the landscape changing from plains to lush green mountains, winding roads, and scenic tea gardens.

The drive itself is refreshing and gives the perfect start to your holiday. Cool mountain breeze, misty views, and small roadside stalls selling tea and snacks add charm to the journey. By the time you reach Darjeeling, you’ll already feel miles away from city life.

Upon arrival, check into your hotel and take some time to relax and freshen up. In the evening, you can step out and explore the famous Mall Road and Chowrasta. This lively area is perfect for a relaxed walk, shopping for local handicrafts, or simply enjoying a cup of hot Darjeeling tea.

You can also try some local street food or visit a cozy café while enjoying the cool weather. The calm and peaceful vibe of Darjeeling makes it a perfect place to unwind.

Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Darjeeling.

Day 2: Darjeeling Full Day Sightseeing

Start your day early as you head to Tiger Hill to witness one of the most magical sunrises in India (subject to availability). Watching the first rays of the sun light up Mt. Kanchenjunga is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

After sunrise, return to the hotel for breakfast and then proceed for local sightseeing. Visit Ghoom Monastery, one of the oldest monasteries in the region, followed by Batasia Loop, a unique railway loop offering panoramic views of the mountains.

Continue your tour with visits to the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park, where you can learn about mountaineering history and see rare Himalayan wildlife. Later, visit Tenzing Rock, Tea Gardens, and the peaceful Japanese Temple.

Each place offers something unique—adventure, culture, or simply scenic beauty. Walking through the tea gardens and breathing in the fresh mountain air is especially refreshing.

In the evening, you are free to explore Darjeeling on your own. Try local Tibetan dishes like momos or thukpa, or just relax at a café.

Overnight stay in Darjeeling.

Day 3: Darjeeling to Gangtok (Approx. 4–5 Hours)

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and proceed towards Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim. The drive is filled with beautiful views of rivers, valleys, and hills. You will often see the Teesta River flowing alongside, adding to the scenic charm.

The journey is smooth and enjoyable, with plenty of opportunities to take short breaks and click pictures. As you enter Sikkim, you will notice how clean and well-maintained the surroundings are.

Upon arrival in Gangtok, check into your hotel and relax for a while. In the evening, head out to MG Marg, the heart of the city. This lively, vehicle-free street is one of the cleanest and most organized markets in India.

You can enjoy shopping, try local Sikkimese cuisine, or simply sit and soak in the atmosphere. The peaceful yet vibrant vibe makes it a favorite among travelers.

Return to your hotel for overnight stay in Gangtok.

Day 4: Tsomgo Lake & Nathula Pass Excursion

Today is one of the most exciting days of your trip. After an early breakfast, get ready for an excursion to Tsomgo Lake, located at a high altitude and surrounded by snow-capped mountains.

The drive to the lake is adventurous, with winding mountain roads and breathtaking views all around. Upon reaching Tsomgo Lake, you can enjoy the serene beauty of the crystal-clear water and, depending on the season, even play in the snow.

From here, continue further to Nathula Pass (subject to permit availability), located on the Indo-China border. Standing at this historic and strategic location is a thrilling experience and a proud moment for many travelers.

On your return journey, you may also visit Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir, a sacred site with a unique story linked to an Indian soldier.

By evening, return to Gangtok and relax after a long yet memorable day.

Overnight stay in Gangtok.

Day 5: Gangtok – Namchi – Pelling (Approx. 5–6 Hours)

After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Gangtok and begin your journey towards Pelling. This day combines both scenic beauty and spiritual experiences, making it a unique highlight of the tour.

En route, you will visit Namchi, a beautiful town known for its religious significance and peaceful surroundings. The main attraction here is the Char Dham (Siddheshwar Dham), which features replicas of major pilgrimage sites from across India along with a grand statue of Lord Shiva. The calm atmosphere and panoramic views from here make it a very refreshing stop.

After spending some time exploring Namchi, continue your drive towards Pelling. The route passes through hills, forests, and small villages, offering stunning views of valleys and distant mountains. The journey is peaceful and less crowded, giving you a true feel of Sikkim’s natural beauty.

Upon arrival in Pelling, check into your hotel and relax. If weather permits, you may get a clear view of the majestic Kanchenjunga range right from your hotel.

Spend the evening at leisure, enjoying the cool weather and quiet surroundings. Pelling is much calmer compared to Gangtok, making it perfect to unwind and soak in the beauty of the Himalayas.

Day 6: Pelling Sightseeing & Drop to NJP/Bagdogra (Approx. 5–6 Hours)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed for local sightseeing in Pelling. Begin your day with a visit to Pemayangtse Monastery, one of the oldest and most important monasteries in Sikkim, known for its rich history and peaceful environment.

Next, visit the Rabdentse Ruins, which were once the capital of the Kingdom of Sikkim. A short walk through forested paths leads you to this historic site, offering beautiful views of the surrounding valleys.

Continue to Khecheopalri Lake, considered a sacred and wish-fulfilling lake by locals. Surrounded by dense forest, the lake has a very calm and spiritual vibe.

You will also visit the famous Sky Walk in Pelling, where you can walk on a glass platform with breathtaking views and see the towering Chenrezig Statue.
