Welcome to the enchanting land of Assam, where nature, wildlife, and culture come together to create an unforgettable journey. This tour takes you through Assam’s lush tea gardens, the mighty Brahmaputra River, and the mystical hills of Meghalaya.
We begin our adventure in Guwahati, exploring its famous temples and scenic riverfront. Next, we head to Kaziranga National Park, home to the world-famous one-horned rhinoceros. Here, thrilling jeep and elephant safaris let you witness wild elephants, deer, and countless birds up close.
From the forests, we travel to Majuli, the world’s largest river island, known for its vibrant monasteries and unique culture of the Assamese Vaishnavite tradition. Moving forward, we visit Jorhat and Sivasagar, where ancient Ahom temples and monuments speak of a glorious past.
The journey continues to the breathtaking state of Meghalaya. In Shillong, the “Scotland of the East,” we enjoy waterfalls, lakes, and colonial charm. Then, Cherrapunji surprises us with living root bridges, misty valleys, and some of the highest rainfall on Earth. At Dawki, crystal-clear waters of the Umngot River create postcard-perfect views.
Finally, we return to Guwahati, carrying with us memories of thrilling safaris, soulful monasteries, scenic landscapes, and warm Assamese hospitality.

Day wise Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival at Guwahati: Gateway to the Northeast
Distance & Time: Airport/Railway Station to hotel – 30 min to 1 hourYour journey begins in Guwahati, the cultural capital of Assam. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted with a traditional Assamese welcome and transferred to your hotel.After check-in, we’ll visit the famous Kamakhya Temple, a sacred Shakti Peetha perched atop Nilachal Hill, offering panoramic views of the city and the mighty Brahmaputra River.In the evening, enjoy a Brahmaputra River Cruise, watching the sun dip behind the distant hills while folk musicians fill the air with soulful tunes.Overnight stay in Guwahati.
Day 2 – Guwahati → Kaziranga National Park
Distance & Time: 195 km | 4.5 – 5 hoursToday, we leave behind the bustling city and drive through scenic countryside, tea estates, and small villages on our way to Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.Upon arrival, check into a jungle lodge or resort. In the evening, enjoy a cultural dance performance by local tribes, giving you a glimpse of Assam’s traditions.Dinner and overnight stay at Kaziranga.
Day 3 – Kaziranga Safari Adventure
Morning: Elephant Safari – A thrilling ride through the tall grasslands as mist rises and the jungle awakens. Watch closely for one-horned rhinoceroses, wild elephants, swamp deer, and countless birds.
Afternoon: Jeep Safari – Explore deeper parts of the park for a chance to spot tigers, wild buffaloes, and exotic flora.Evening free for leisure or exploring a nearby tea garden.Overnight stay at Kaziranga.
Day 4 – Kaziranga → Majuli River Island
Distance & Time: 150 km drive + 1-hour ferryAfter breakfast, we journey towards Majuli, the world’s largest river island located on the Brahmaputra. A scenic ferry ride brings us to this spiritual and cultural haven.Majuli is home to Satras (monasteries) established by saint Srimanta Sankardev, showcasing Assamese Vaishnavite traditions, mask-making, and classical dance forms like Sattriya.Evening stroll through local villages and witness a mesmerizing sunset over the river.Overnight stay at Majuli.
Day 5 – Majuli Exploration → Jorhat
Distance & Time: Ferry + 40 km drive (1 hour)In the morning, visit more Satras and enjoy a cultural demonstration of traditional Assamese art.Later, we travel to Jorhat, known as the Tea Capital of Assam. Day 6 – Jorhat → Sivasagar → Shillong
Distance & Time: Jorhat to Sivasagar – 65 km | 1.5 hoursSivasagar to Shillong – 430 km | 8-9 hoursToday is a long travel day, but filled with history and scenic views.Morning visit to Sivasagar, the ancient capital of the Ahom kingdom. Explore grand monuments like Rang Ghar (Asia’s oldest amphitheater), Talatal Ghar, and beautiful temples dedicated to Lord Shiva.Later, drive to Shillong, the “Scotland of the East,” surrounded by pine-covered hills and waterfalls.Overnight stay in Shillong.
Day 7 – Shillong City Tour

Dawki: See the crystal-clear waters of the Umngot River and try a boat ride where you feel like floating on air.
Mawlynnong Village: Known as the cleanest village in Asia, walk along bamboo pathways and enjoy breathtaking skywalk

Day 10 – Shillong → Guwahati
