Day wise Itinerary
Day 1 – Mumbai to Kathmandu: A Spiritual Beginning
Your journey begins at Mumbai Airport, filled with excitement as you board your flight to Nepal. As the aircraft takes off, the feeling of heading towards the land of Himalayas brings a special thrill. Within a few hours, you land in Kathmandu, where cool mountain air and smiling faces welcome you.
After hotel check-in and some relaxation, your Nepal experience begins with a visit to Pashupatinath Temple. The temple atmosphere is powerful yet peaceful. The sound of bells, chanting, and the gentle flow of the Bagmati River create a deeply spiritual experience. Even standing quietly here feels meaningful.
Later, you visit Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest stupas in the world. Prayer flags flutter in the sky while devotees walk slowly around the stupa spinning prayer wheels. The calmness here touches your heart.
In the evening, you explore Thamel Market. Colorful shops, cafés, and handicrafts give your first taste of Nepali culture. After dinner, you return to the hotel, feeling blessed and excited for the days ahead.
Day 2 – Exploring the Cultural Soul of Kathmandu Valley
After breakfast, your day begins with a visit to Swayambhunath, perched on a hilltop. Climbing the steps is worth it — the panoramic view of the entire Kathmandu Valley is breathtaking. The golden stupa shining in the morning light feels magical.
Next, you head to Kathmandu Durbar Square, where centuries-old temples and palaces tell stories of Nepal’s royal history. Walking through courtyards and observing intricate wooden carvings feels like stepping into a living museum.
Later, you visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square. This medieval town has a charm of its own — narrow stone streets, traditional houses, pottery squares, and peaceful temples. You may even taste the famous local “King Curd.”
By evening, you return to your hotel with beautiful cultural memories and countless photographs.
Day 3 – Scenic Journey to Pokhara
Today after breakfast, you begin your road journey to Pokhara. The drive itself is an experience. The road winds through green hills, rivers, and small villages. The Trishuli River flows alongside for long stretches, adding beauty to the journey.
As you approach Pokhara, the atmosphere becomes calmer and more relaxed. Upon arrival, you check in and unwind. In the evening, you enjoy boating at Phewa Lake. The still water reflects the surrounding hills beautifully. In the middle of the lake stands Tal Barahi Temple, creating a postcard-perfect view.
A lakeside walk in the evening, with cool breeze and soft music from cafés, makes the day complete. Overnight stay in Pokhara.
Day 4 – Sunrise Magic & Natural Wonders of Pokhara
Early morning, you drive to Sarangkot to witness one of the most beautiful sunrises of your life. As the first rays of sunlight touch the Annapurna range (weather permitting), the snow peaks glow golden. It is a silent, magical moment that stays in your memory forever.
After breakfast, you explore Pokhara’s natural attractions. Davis Falls surprises you as water disappears underground dramatically. At Gupteshwor Cave, you witness fascinating rock formations. Bindhyabasini Temple offers peaceful surroundings and local devotion. The Seti River Gorge shows the power of nature as the river flows deep below the city.
By evening, you return to your hotel feeling refreshed, inspired, and completely connected with nature.
Day 5 – From Peaceful Pokhara to Wild Chitwan
After breakfast, you bid farewell to the calm lakes of Pokhara and begin your journey towards Chitwan. As the vehicle moves ahead, the scenery slowly changes. The cool mountain breeze gives way to warmer plains, and green hills turn into dense forest stretches. It feels like you are entering a completely different world within the same country.
Upon arrival at your jungle resort in Chitwan, you are welcomed with refreshing drinks and traditional hospitality. After check-in, you take some time to relax and absorb the peaceful surroundings. The sound of birds and rustling trees makes the atmosphere soothing.
In the evening, you attend a traditional Tharu Cultural Dance program. The Tharu community, native to this region, performs energetic folk dances reflecting their lifestyle and bond with nature. The rhythmic drum beats and colorful costumes make the evening lively and memorable.
Dinner is served at the resort, and as night falls, the quietness of the jungle adds a special charm. Overnight stay in Chitwan.
Day 6 – Into the Wild: Chitwan Jungle Adventure
Today is all about adventure and wildlife. After breakfast, you head into the famous Chitwan National Park for an exciting jungle safari. As your jeep moves slowly through forest trails, every turn brings anticipation. You may spot one-horned rhinoceros grazing peacefully, deer running through grasslands, or exotic birds perched on trees. If luck is on your side, you might even glimpse a Bengal tiger.
Later, you enjoy a calm canoe ride on the Rapti River. The contrast between the peaceful water and the wild jungle around you feels magical. Crocodiles resting along riverbanks add thrill to the experience.
A visit to the Elephant Breeding Center gives insight into conservation efforts. By evening, you return to the resort, tired but thrilled. Overnight stay in Chitwan.
Day 7 – Return to Kathmandu & Himalayan Views
After breakfast, you begin your drive back to Kathmandu. The journey once again offers scenic rivers and hillside views. On the way, you stop at Nagarkot, a beautiful hill station known for panoramic Himalayan vistas.
If the weather is clear, you can witness stunning mountain views stretching across the horizon. The peaceful environment here feels like a perfect farewell gift from Nepal.
By evening, you return to Kathmandu and check into your hotel. You may spend your last evening shopping for souvenirs or simply relaxing. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
Day 8 – Farewell Nepal, Back to Mumbai
After breakfast, it’s time to check out. You are transferred to the airport for your return flight to Mumbai. As the plane takes off, you look down at the mountains and valleys one last time.
You leave with spiritual blessings, breathtaking Himalayan views, jungle adventures, and peaceful lakeside memories.
Your 8-day Nepal journey ends — but the memories will stay with you forever.
