Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival at Bagdogra / NJP & Transfer to Gangtok

Your beautiful Himalayan journey begins with your arrival at Bagdogra Airport or NJP Railway Station. Upon arrival, you will be warmly received by our representative and introduced to your fellow travelers. Soon after, you start your scenic drive towards Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim. This journey itself is an experience, as the road follows the Teesta River, passing through lush green hills, small mountain villages, and winding mountain roads.

As you ascend towards Gangtok, the air becomes cooler and fresher, instantly giving you a refreshing mountain feel. Short comfort stops are provided en route for tea and photographs. By late afternoon or early evening, you reach Gangtok and check in to your hotel.

After freshening up, the evening is kept free to relax after the long journey. You may choose to explore the famous MG Marg, a clean and vibrant pedestrian street lined with cafés, souvenir shops, and local eateries. The calm atmosphere, cool weather, and beautifully lit streets make it a pleasant place for a casual stroll.

Dinner will be enjoyed at the hotel or nearby restaurant. The day ends with a comfortable overnight stay in Gangtok, preparing you for the exciting high-altitude experiences ahead.

Day 2 – Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Nathula Pass

After an early breakfast, you begin one of the most exciting days of the tour. Today’s journey takes you to the high-altitude region near the Indo-China border. As you drive uphill, the landscape slowly transforms into rugged mountains, snow patches, and alpine scenery.

Your first stop is Tsomgo Lake, also known as Changu Lake. Situated at an altitude of around 12,400 feet, this glacial lake is surrounded by snow-covered mountains for most of the year. The calm water reflecting the surrounding peaks creates a breathtaking view. You get time to enjoy the surroundings, take photographs, and experience the cold mountain air.

If weather and permits allow, you continue further to Nathula Pass, one of the highest motorable roads in the world and a historic Indo-China border trading route. The experience of standing at this altitude is truly unforgettable. You can see army posts, fluttering flags, and snow-covered terrain, making it a proud and emotional moment.

After completing the excursion, you return to Gangtok by evening. Due to high altitude, the rest of the evening is kept free for relaxation. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel ensure proper rest after a thrilling day.

En route, you may stop at viewpoints and waterfalls for photographs. The changing landscapes keep the journey engaging, making travel time feel shorter. By afternoon, you arrive in Pelling and check in to your hotel.

Pelling is known for its calm atmosphere and stunning views of the Kanchenjunga mountain range. After lunch, the rest of the day is free for leisure. You can relax at the hotel, enjoy the fresh mountain breeze, or simply sit back and admire the natural surroundings.

If the weather is clear, you may get beautiful views of the Kanchenjunga range glowing during sunset, a truly magical sight. The peaceful environment of Pelling makes it ideal for unwinding after busy sightseeing days.
