Tour Summery
Embark on a soul-stirring 13-day Chardham Yatra from Delhi, a journey that takes you through the most sacred corners of Uttarakhand’s Garhwal Himalayas — the revered dhams of Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. Starting from Delhi, the tour sets off toward Haridwar, where the mystical Ganga Aarti sets the spiritual tone of the expedition.
The yatra then winds its way to Barkot for a trek to Yamunotri, the sacred source of the River Yamuna. After that, Uttarkashi becomes your base for the divine visit to Gangotri, the origin of the River Ganga. Feel the aura of divinity as you dip into the icy Bhagirathi waters and offer prayers at the ancient shrine.
Next comes the challenging yet soul-rewarding journey to Kedarnath, nestled amid snow-covered peaks. A trek or helicopter ride brings you to the doorstep of Lord Shiva’s Jyotirlinga — a surreal spiritual experience. The journey continues via Pipalkoti toward Badrinath, home of Lord Vishnu. Pay homage at the temple, bathe in the sacred Tapt Kund, and visit Mana village, the last Indian settlement before Tibet.
Each destination of the Char Dham is surrounded by powerful mythology, pristine beauty, and unmatched serenity. The return journey takes you back through Rudraprayag and Haridwar, allowing time for spiritual reflection and rest.

Day wise Itinerary
Day 1: Delhi to Haridwar – The Sacred Beginning
Rise and shine! Your spiritual adventure kicks off with a comfortable drive from Delhi to Haridwar, the gateway to the divine Himalayas. As you cruise along the plains, the buzz of the city slowly fades into the calmness of Uttarakhand’s foothills. By the time you reach Haridwar (about 6–7 hours), the mighty Ganga welcomes you with open arms.
Check into your hotel and freshen up, because the evening is reserved for one of the most surreal experiences of your life — the Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri. Thousands of flickering diyas, priests chanting mantras, and bells ringing in harmony — it’s a cosmic vibe that you’ll never forget. Take a peaceful stroll on the ghats, dip your toes in the river, and feel your heart get lighter.
You can also enjoy some local street food — aloo puri, jalebis, or chaat — because hey, spirituality and good food go hand in hand! Overnight stay in Haridwar. Recharge well, because tomorrow, we ascend into the lap of the Himalayas.
Day 2: Haridwar to Barkot – The Hills are Calling!
After a hearty breakfast, we start the scenic drive to Barkot, a cozy town nestled in the lap of the Garhwal hills. As we pass through Mussoorie, Kempty Falls may tempt you for a quick photostop — and why not? The waterfall is charming and adds a playful splash to your road trip.
As the roads twist and turn into the mountains, the air turns fresher, and the landscape begins to bloom with pine trees, valleys, and misty horizons. By the time we reach Barkot (approx. 7–8 hours), you’ll be soaking in pure mountain bliss. Check into your hotel, sip on some ginger tea, and let the peace of the hills wrap around you like a blanket.
In the evening, you’ll get a short briefing about the Yamunotri trek for tomorrow. Shoes, sticks, ponchos — all prepped and ready! The excitement builds as we prepare to visit the first dham of our journey. Dinner is served hot — expect simple but delicious pahadi food. Early lights out tonight, because we have a spiritual trek ahead.
Day 3: Yamunotri Darshan – A Trek to the Source of Faith
Today’s the day! Wake up early, grab a quick breakfast, and we head to Janki Chatti (around 45 km drive), the starting point for the 5 km trek to Yamunotri Temple. Whether you walk, ride a pony, or get a palanquin — the journey is as beautiful as the destination. Surrounded by snow-clad peaks and gurgling streams, every step feels like a prayer in motion.
As you ascend through winding trails, scenic bridges, and devotional chants, the aura becomes more magical. And finally, you reach the Yamunotri Temple, the sacred origin of River Yamuna. Offer prayers, take a holy dip in Surya Kund, and cook rice in the natural hot springs — a special ritual here. The darshan is divine and the energy? Unmatched.
After spending soulful moments at the temple, we descend back to Janki Chatti and drive to Barkot. Tired but content, you return to the hotel for some much-needed rest. Tonight’s dinner will taste extra satisfying — that’s the magic of Yamunotri’s blessings. Sleep tight with the river’s rhythm echoing in your dreams.
Day 4: Barkot to Uttarkashi – Land of the Bhagirathi
Post breakfast, we bid adieu to Barkot and head deeper into the Himalayas toward Uttarkashi — the spiritual town by the banks of the Bhagirathi River. The drive takes about 5–6 hours, but the views? Absolutely worth every minute. Lush green valleys, scattered villages, apple orchards — Uttarakhand’s raw beauty shines through every turn.
On reaching Uttarkashi, check in to your hotel and get comfortable. In the afternoon, we visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, an ancient shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. Many say this is the Himalayan version of the Varanasi temple — equally powerful, equally peaceful.
You also get to stroll through the town’s quaint bazaar or walk along the riverside ghats if time allows. It’s a good day to slow down, reflect, and prepare for tomorrow’s journey to Gangotri. Uttarkashi is quiet, slow, and deeply spiritual — just what your soul needs at this midpoint of the yatra.
Day 5: Gangotri Darshan – Where Ganga Descends from the Heavens
Get ready for one of the most mesmerizing days of your yatra. After an early breakfast, we drive to Gangotri, the origin point of the Ganga River (about 100 km, 3–4 hours). The drive itself is breathtaking — mountain tunnels, roaring rivers, and forested paths escort us all the way.
Gangotri Temple stands at an altitude of over 10,000 ft, embraced by the rugged Himalayas. The Bhagirathi River flows wildly by its side — icy cold and full of spiritual energy. Pilgrims take a dip in the river before heading to the shrine, and so can you — if you can brave the chill!
After darshan, sit quietly near the temple and feel the silence of the mountains around you. This is where King Bhagirath did his penance to bring Ganga down to Earth — and you’ll feel that divine energy in the air. We return to Uttarkashi by evening for dinner and overnight stay. Another dham complete. Two more to go.
Day 6: Uttarkashi to Guptkashi – Into the Kedarnath Zone
Time to gear up for the next leg of our sacred adventure. After breakfast, we start a long but scenic drive (approx. 8–9 hours) to Guptkashi, the gateway to Kedarnath. It's a winding route through hills, rivers, and valleys that constantly keep your camera and heart busy.
On the way, you’ll spot sacred confluences like Devprayag and Rudraprayag, where holy rivers meet in divine harmony. These “prayags” aren’t just beautiful — they’re soaked in mythology and make for great stopovers to stretch your legs and your imagination.
By evening, we reach Guptkashi and check in. This town is famous for the Ardhnarishwar Temple — a unique form of Lord Shiva representing both masculine and feminine energies. You can visit the temple if time permits or just take a quiet walk under the starry Himalayan sky. Tomorrow’s a big day — we’re heading to Kedarnath!
Day 7: Guptkashi to Kedarnath – A Walk to the Shiva Realm
Wake up early, freshen up, and pack light — today we’re off to Kedarnath, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas and the crown jewel of this pilgrimage. Depending on your preference and weather, you’ll either trek 16 km from Gaurikund or opt for a helicopter ride (optional, advance booking recommended).
The trek is not just physical — it’s emotional, spiritual, and completely surreal. You’ll walk alongside fellow pilgrims, hear chants of “Har Har Mahadev,” and spot the Mandakini River gushing by your side. As you climb higher, snow peaks loom over you like divine guardians.
By afternoon or early evening, you reach the Kedarnath Temple, sitting stoically amidst the snow-capped Himalayas. It’s a sight that gives goosebumps — not just for the altitude, but for the sheer energy. After darshan and blessings, spend some quiet time in this sacred space.
Overnight stay at Kedarnath (basic but warm accommodation). The chill in the air is nothing compared to the warmth in your heart tonight.
Day 8: Kedarnath to Guptkashi – The Descent After Divine Darshan
Start your morning with the first rays of sun touching the Kedarnath peak — a divine sunrise like no other. You can visit the temple again if time allows, or just sit near the shrine and soak in the peace.
After breakfast, we descend back to Gaurikund (or fly down, if opted). It’s a reflective journey — one filled with memories of your uphill battle and the powerful darshan of Mahadev. We regroup and drive back to Guptkashi for rest and recovery.
Back at the hotel, enjoy a warm dinner and share stories of your Kedarnath trek with fellow travelers. This night’s sleep will feel well-earned and deeply peaceful.
Day 9: Guptkashi to Pipalkoti – Scenic Breather in the Hills
Today is a relatively relaxed day. After breakfast, we drive to Pipalkoti, a beautiful mountain town and a common base for those heading to Badrinath. The journey (approx. 6–7 hours) winds through forests, small villages, and ever-changing Himalayan moods.
We reach Pipalkoti by late afternoon or early evening. Check-in, freshen up, and enjoy the soothing climate of this picturesque pitstop. This is your perfect rest day to recharge for the final dham.
Sit on your hotel balcony, sip hot chai, and let the mountain silence heal every part of you. Tomorrow, the journey culminates at the divine abode of Vishnu.
Day 10: Pipalkoti to Badrinath – Final Dham, Infinite Bliss
Post breakfast, we make our way to the final destination of our divine yatra — Badrinath Dham (approx. 3–4 hours drive). The excitement builds with every turn. En route, we stop at Joshimath, Vishnuprayag, and other scenic spots.
On reaching Badrinath, check into your hotel and head to Tapt Kund — the natural hot water spring where pilgrims bathe before darshan. Then, proceed to the majestic Badrinath Temple, adorned with colorful flags and glowing lights. Offer prayers to Badri Vishal, the meditative form of Lord Vishnu.
Later, explore Mana Village, the last Indian village near the Indo-China border. Don’t miss Bhim Pul and Vyas Gufa — they’re straight out of epic tales.
Return for overnight stay at Badrinath. Four dhams done — and your heart will be full.
Day 11: Badrinath to Rudraprayag – The Calm After Completion
After morning darshan and breakfast, we begin our descent journey, heading toward Rudraprayag (approx. 6–7 hours). This town is named after Lord Shiva and sits at the confluence of the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers — a spiritually potent place.
Check into your hotel and relax after the long drive. Visit the local Rudranath Temple if you’re up for a short evening outing. It’s a peaceful day, filled with gratitude and reflection on the incredible journey you’ve completed.
Let the river’s gentle hum lull you to sleep.
Day 12: Rudraprayag to Haridwar – The Final Leg Down
Post breakfast, we start our journey back to the plains — descending from Rudraprayag to Haridwar (approx. 6–7 hours). As the landscape flattens and the temperature rises, your soul still lingers in the mountains.
By evening, reach Haridwar. Check-in and head straight to the Ganga ghats if you’d like a final Aarti. It’s a full-circle moment — you began here, and you’re ending here, transformed.
Tonight is a celebration — of faith, endurance, and blessings. Enjoy your last dinner with the group. Memories have been made, and spiritual boxes checked.
Day 13: Haridwar to Delhi – Journey Ends, Legacy Begins
After breakfast, we drive back to Delhi, bringing the 13-day journey of a lifetime to a close. The road feels familiar, but you’ve changed. You’ve seen the Himalayas, walked the paths of sages, bathed in sacred rivers, and bowed at ancient shrines.
By evening, reach Delhi with a heart full of stories, blessings, and peace.
This isn’t just a tour — it’s your personal pilgrimage tale.
