Tour Summery
Embark on a coastal and cultural journey through the serene landscapes of Goa and Karnataka with our 8-day “Konkan Chronicles” tour. Starting from the laid-back beaches of Goa, this expedition takes you down the lesser-explored coastline of Karwar, where calm waves meet colonial tales and riverfront gardens.
Next, the tour moves to Murudeshwar, home to one of the tallest Shiva statues in the world, standing sentinel over the Arabian Sea. The beachside temple and the calm seafront set a spiritual yet relaxing tone. A visit to Idagunji offers divine blessings at the revered Ganesha temple before you reach Gokarna, a coastal town with spiritual charm and sandy shores.
As we venture inland, Honnavar welcomes you with natural elegance – eco-beaches, cascading waterfalls, and soothing vibes. The green town of Sirsi offers the perfect blend of religious architecture and quiet charm. Explore the majestic Marikamba Temple and other age-old shrines nestled in nature.
The journey reaches a visual climax at Yana, with its dramatic rock formations and caves, followed by the awe-inspiring Jog Falls, where water plunges down with thunderous glory – a sight to behold during monsoons.
Ending the tour with leisure time back in Goa, you’ll carry home a mix of beachside bliss, temple trails, and offbeat Karnataka gems that linger in your memory like a well-written travel journal.

Day wise Itinerary
Day 1: Welcome to Goa – Let the Coastal Vibes Begin!
Touch down at Goa Airport, where warm sea breeze and friendly waves greet you with a smile. After check-in and some rest, we kickstart our trip with a Goa Darshan – not the party side, but the soul-soothing, heritage-loaded Goa. Visit the ancient Mangueshi Temple and Shanta Durga Temple, rooted in Konkani culture. Later, enjoy the scenic drive to Miramar Beach, with golden sands stretching into the horizon. The peaceful Dona Paula viewpoint offers breathtaking views where rivers meet the sea – perfect for selfies and soul-searching.
Evening’s yours to chill – walk on the beach, sip coconut water or try out Goan snacks. We’re not rushing anything. The idea is to let Goa’s susegad (laidback) spirit seep into your bones. Overnight stay in Goa, and yes – we promise, the trip’s just warming up.
Day 2: Goa to Karwar – Into the Konkan Canvas
After breakfast, it’s time to hit the coastal highway. The scenic drive from Goa to Karwar is like a moving painting – lush hills on one side, sparkling sea on the other. By noon, we reach the tranquil town of Karwar – where the mighty Kali River meets the Arabian Sea.
First stop: Rabindranath Tagore Beach, where the poet once stayed and found his muse. Walk barefoot on soft sand, watch fishing boats bob in rhythm, and just breathe. Visit the Warship Museum, home to INS Chapal – a real decommissioned missile boat. It’s a fascinating glimpse into Indian Navy history.
We’ll also explore Kali River Garden and watch the sunset melt into the sea. Karwar’s not loud, but that’s its charm. It’s nature’s whisper. Dinner and overnight stay in Karwar – peaceful, breezy, and perfect.
Day 3: Karwar to Murudeshwar – Where Shiva Watches the Sea
Post breakfast, we roll out towards Murudeshwar. En route, the Konkan keeps surprising – palm-lined roads, sleepy villages, and occasional glimpses of the coastline. After a pleasant drive, we reach the divine town dominated by the enormous Shiva statue, towering at 123 feet beside the sea.
We visit the famous Murudeshwar Temple, dramatically perched over a cliff with the sea on three sides. Don’t miss the Raja Gopura, which offers a panoramic view from the top – it’s like standing in the clouds with the sea beneath. Later, walk down to the beach for some relaxed fun. The sunset here? Just wow.
Evening is yours to unwind – sip filter coffee, try Udupi-style dinner, or simply sit by the shore listening to waves whisper ancient stories. Overnight stay in Murudeshwar.
Day 4: Murudeshwar – Idagunji – Gokarna – Back to Murudeshwar
Rise early to soak in the beach sunrise. After breakfast, we head for a spiritual day trip. First up: Idagunji Ganesha Temple – a centuries-old sacred place that’s full of peace and divine vibes. People believe that wishes made here reach Ganesha faster!
Next, off to Gokarna – not just a beach destination, but a deeply spiritual town. We visit the Mahabaleshwar Temple, housing the Atmalinga of Lord Shiva. The energy here is intense and calming at the same time. Post temple visit, take a stroll to Om Beach, shaped like the ॐ symbol. Dip your toes in the water or just soak in the tranquility.
Return to Murudeshwar by evening for dinner and overnight stay. Today you’ve walked both spiritual and sandy paths – and you’ll feel it in your heart.
Day 5: Murudeshwar to Honnavar – Waterfalls, Beaches & Eco Bliss
After a hearty breakfast, we drive to Honnavar, a hidden gem on Karnataka’s coast. First, we explore the Eco Beach, where cleanliness meets calmness. Walk on the eco-friendly boardwalk, feel the sea wind, and enjoy a peaceful morning.
Next stop: the fairytale-like Apsarakonda Waterfall – a dreamy cascade surrounded by lush trees. Legends say celestial nymphs (apsaras) bathed here – and honestly, it does feel magical. Nearby, climb a small hill to Apsara Konda Viewpoint, offering a panoramic coastal view that’s postcard-perfect.
Later, we drive inland toward Sirsi, reaching by evening. Settle into the cool forest-town vibes. Overnight stay in Sirsi – surrounded by trees, temples, and tranquility.
Day 6: Exploring Sirsi – Temples & Trails
Wake up to birdsong and misty air. Sirsi is like a break from the world – peaceful, spiritual, and close to nature. Our first visit is to the grand Marikamba Temple, one of the largest and most revered shrines in Karnataka. The colorful carvings and intense devotion here are awe-inspiring.
Then, depending on the season, we may explore nearby Unchalli Falls or Banavasi, the ancient capital of the Kadamba dynasty. Every step here is like walking through time – forest trails, ancient shrines, and cultural gems.
Evening is for leisure – sip tea at a roadside shack, chat with locals, or take a stroll under tall betel nut trees. Overnight stay in Sirsi.
Day 7: Sirsi – Yana – Jog Falls – Back to Goa
This is the big day! After breakfast, we head to Yana Caves – a surreal place where massive black rock formations rise dramatically from the jungle. The limestone rocks, named Bhairaveshwara and Mohini, are sacred and mystic. It’s a short trek, but worth every step.
Then we drive to Jog Falls, Karnataka’s pride and one of India’s tallest waterfalls. During monsoons, it’s a beast – four distinct cascades named Raja, Rani, Roarer, and Rocket come crashing down with stunning force. It’s nature in its wildest, most beautiful form.
After a power-packed day, we return to Goa by evening and check in for our final night. Time to rest, reflect, and smile at memories made. Overnight stay in Goa.
Day 8: Departure from Goa – Until Next Time!
And just like that, it’s time to say goodbye. After breakfast, check out and head to the Goa Airport for your flight. Carry back seashells, selfies, temple blessings, and waterfalls in your heart. Karnataka’s coast may be behind, but its memories will stay forever.
