Tour Summery

Gujarat’s Saurashtra region is a rich cultural palette where history, spirituality, and nature blend effortlessly. This 7-day journey is specially crafted to showcase the vibrant highlights of this western gem of India.

Begin in Ahmedabad, where the echo of Mahatma Gandhi's footsteps and the intricate beauty of stepwells narrate stories of both revolution and architectural brilliance. Head to Jamnagar, a city of lakes and legends, and visit the ever-resonating Bala Hanuman Temple. The spiritual energy rises as you enter Dwarka, Lord Krishna’s capital city, where the Dwarkadhish Temple and a boat ride to Bet Dwarka deepen your connection to the divine.

The tour then takes a historic turn with a stop at Porbandar, the birthplace of the Father of the Nation, where simplicity and reverence blend beautifully. Soon after, the rhythm of the sea and spiritual chants welcome you to Somnath, home to one of the twelve Jyotirlingas and a temple standing resilient through history.

As the journey shifts from temples to the wild, the heart of Gir National Park opens up. Here, you embark on a thrilling safari to encounter the endangered Asiatic lions in their only natural habitat. Day wise Itinerary

Day 1: Ahmedabad Arrival – City of Heritage & Harmony

Welcome to the vibrant city of Ahmedabad! As soon as you land at Ahmedabad Airport or Railway Station, our team will give you a warm welcome. After check-in and a quick freshen-up, we begin our city darshan. First stop – Sabarmati Ashram, the peaceful retreat of Mahatma Gandhi. The aura here is still soaked in his simplicity and silence.

Next, we visit the majestic Akshardham Temple – not just a temple but an architectural marvel with intricate carvings and a divine vibe. Don't miss the light show if time permits – it's a visual treat!

Later, we head to Adalaj ni Vav, an ancient stepwell with beautifully carved walls that narrate tales of love, war, and devotion. A perfect Instagrammable spot with a royal past.

Evening is free for shopping at Law Garden or trying out some Gujarati farsan – khakhra, fafda, and jalebi on the streets. It’s the perfect way to dive into Gujarat’s flavour-packed welcome.

Return to the hotel, chill out, and get ready for a week-long journey across the soul of Saurashtra.

Night Stay: Ahmedabad

Day 2: Ahmedabad – Jamnagar – Land of Temples and Lakes

After a hearty breakfast, we hit the road to Jamnagar – around 300 km away. The drive is smooth, and Gujarat’s countryside keeps you entertained all along. Upon arrival, check-in at your hotel and relax for a bit.

Our first visit is to the Bala Hanuman Temple, famous worldwide for non-stop chanting of “Shri Ram, Jai Ram, Jai Jai Ram” since 1964 – imagine the devotion! This temple even found its place in the Guinness Book of Records.

Later, we take a walk around the beautiful Lakhota Lake, and if you’re lucky, you might spot some migratory birds too. Right at the center of the lake is Lakhota Palace – a historical fort turned museum with tales of Jamnagar’s royal past.

If time permits, we’ll explore some local markets known for bandhani sarees and brassware. Evening is perfect to sit by the lake and enjoy the cool breeze – a slow, peaceful contrast to the buzzing city.

Dinner and rest – tomorrow, the divine Dwarka awaits!

Night Stay: Jamnagar

Day 3: Jamnagar – Dwarka – The Kingdom of Krishna

Post breakfast, we drive to Dwarka, the city that once echoed with the flute of Lord Krishna. Upon arrival, check-in and then it’s time to explore the spiritual wonders.

First up – the iconic Dwarkadhish Temple, standing tall on the banks of Gomti river. It’s one of the Char Dham pilgrimage sites, and as you walk through the 5-storey temple, you can feel an energy that’s both ancient and alive. Take part in the Aarti, and you’ll experience a divine high.

Next, we take a ferry ride to Bet Dwarka, believed to be Krishna’s original residence. The boat ride itself is fun and scenic. The temple here is simple but spiritually powerful.

On the way back, we stop by Rukmini Devi Temple, dedicated to Krishna’s consort. Also visit Gopi Talav, where the Gopis supposedly reunited with their beloved Krishna. The sand here is yellow and silky smooth – said to be sacred.

By evening, roam around local bazaars for spiritual souvenirs or just sit quietly at Gomti Ghat watching the river flow.

Night Stay: Dwarka

Day 4: Dwarka – Porbandar – Somnath – Tracing Gandhi & Shiva

Today, we head towards Porbandar, the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi. First stop is Kirti Mandir, the house where Bapu was born. It’s simple yet powerful – his charkha, letters, and life-sized photos take you back in time.

We also visit Sudama Temple, dedicated to Krishna’s childhood friend. Not a very common stop, but truly heart-touching for its symbolism of friendship.

Later, we continue towards Somnath, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. Check-in, relax, and then brace yourself for the grand Somnath Temple visit.

As the sun sets on the Arabian Sea, the evening aarti begins – drums, chants, conch shells and the roaring waves in the background create a surreal spiritual experience.

Don’t forget to take a peaceful walk by the Somnath beach, where the cool wind carries stories of history, invasions, devotion, and resurrection – this temple has been rebuilt several times and still stands strong.

Dinner with waves whispering in the distance. A day full of soul-stirring moments.

Night Stay: Somnath

Day 5: Somnath – Gir National Park – Into the Wild!

From devotion to adventure! After breakfast, we head to the Gir National Park, the last abode of the Asiatic Lion. Check-in at the forest resort and prepare for the thrill.

In the afternoon, we go for a Jeep Safari deep into the jungle. Keep your cameras ready – Gir is home not only to lions but also leopards, hyenas, deer, jackals, and over 300 species of birds. The rustling of the trees, sudden roars, and watchful eyes peeking from the bush – the forest has its own rhythm.

The ride is both exciting and serene. Even if you don’t spot a lion immediately, the landscape – dry deciduous forest mixed with grasslands – is worth every second.

Evening is yours to relax, exchange safari stories around a bonfire, or just lie back and stargaze in the pure jungle sky.

Night Stay: Gir

Day 6: Gir – Junagadh – A Blend of Nature and Heritage

After breakfast, we drive to the historic city of Junagadh, nestled at the foot of the Girnar Hills. First, we explore the majestic Uparkot Fort, known for standing strong against enemies for over 300 years! Check out the Adi-Kadi Vav and Navghan Kuvo – deep stepwells inside the fort, whispering stories of ancient water wisdom.

Then visit the Mahabat Maqbara, a lesser-known architectural gem that looks straight out of a Mughal fantasy with its spiral minarets and detailed façade.

For those with energy, you can even attempt a short walk up Girnar Hills – a sacred mountain dotted with Jain and Hindu temples. Even a partial climb offers stunning views and spiritual vibes.

Evening is free to relax or try some local Kathiyawadi cuisine – spicy, rustic, and full of flavour.

Night Stay: Junagadh

Day 7: Junagadh – Ahmedabad/Rajkot Departure – Until Next Time!

And just like that, our magical journey comes to an end. After breakfast, we begin our return journey to Ahmedabad or Rajkot, depending on your flight/train schedule. The drive is scenic and gives you time to rewind all the experiences – from lion calls to temple bells, from Gandhi’s silence to Krishna’s stories.

You’ll carry back not just photos and souvenirs, but a heart full of memories from the divine and diverse land of Saurashtra.
