Day wise Itinerary
Day 1: Delhi to Nainital – Journey to the Lake City
Your Nainital & Jim Corbett Nature Retreat begins from Delhi in the morning. As you leave the busy city behind, the landscape slowly changes into green fields and then into the beautiful hills of Uttarakhand. The drive to Nainital takes around 7–8 hours, but the scenic mountain roads make the journey enjoyable.
By afternoon, you arrive in Nainital, often called the “Lake District of India.” After hotel check-in and some rest, head out to explore the heart of the town — Naini Lake. Surrounded by hills, the calm lake is the main attraction of Nainital. Enjoy a peaceful boating experience while admiring the reflection of mountains in the water.
Later, visit the famous Naina Devi Temple located near the lake. This temple is an important religious site and offers a serene spiritual atmosphere. In the evening, take a relaxed walk on Mall Road. The lively market is perfect for shopping, tasting local snacks, and enjoying the cool hill weather.
Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Nainital.
Day 2: Nainital Local Sightseeing – Views, Lakes & Ropeway
After breakfast, begin a full day of sightseeing in and around Nainital. Start with a ropeway ride to Snow View Point, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the snow-capped Himalayan peaks on a clear day. The view from the top is refreshing and unforgettable.
Next, visit places like Eco Cave Gardens and Tiffin Top, known for scenic viewpoints and photography spots. The pleasant weather and greenery make every stop enjoyable.
Later, proceed for a lake tour covering nearby beautiful lakes such as Bhimtal, Sattal, and Naukuchiatal. These lakes are quieter and less crowded, offering peaceful surroundings and scenic beauty. You may enjoy optional boating or simply relax by the lakeside.
Return to Nainital by evening. Free time for shopping or leisure. Overnight stay in Nainital.
Day 3: Nainital to Jim Corbett – Into the Wild
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed towards Jim Corbett National Park. The drive takes around 2–3 hours and passes through forested areas and rural landscapes.
Upon arrival, check in to your resort near the forest area. After lunch and some relaxation, prepare for an exciting wildlife experience. If safari is scheduled for the afternoon, enjoy a jeep safari inside the national park. The dense forests, grasslands, and riverbeds create a thrilling atmosphere.
You may spot deer, elephants, wild boars, and various bird species. If lucky, you might even see the majestic Bengal Tiger. The safari experience brings you close to nature in its purest form.
Return to the resort by evening. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay near Jim Corbett.
Day 4: Jim Corbett Safari & Nature Experience
Wake up early to the fresh forest air near Jim Corbett National Park. Early morning is the best time for wildlife activity, so get ready for an exciting jeep safari (subject to permit availability). As you enter the forest zone with your expert guide and driver, the real jungle experience begins.
The safari takes you through dense sal forests, open grasslands, riverbeds, and scenic landscapes. The sound of birds, rustling leaves, and the cool breeze create a thrilling yet peaceful atmosphere. Keep your camera ready, as wildlife sightings can happen anytime. You may spot herds of spotted deer, sambar deer, wild elephants, langurs, peacocks, and if you are lucky, the majestic Bengal Tiger. Even if the tiger stays hidden, the overall jungle experience itself is unforgettable.
After the safari, return to the resort for breakfast. Spend the rest of the morning relaxing by the riverside or enjoying leisure time at the property. Many resorts offer open green spaces where you can unwind and enjoy the calm natural surroundings.
Later, you can visit the Corbett Museum (optional), which was once the home of the legendary hunter-turned-conservationist Jim Corbett. The museum gives insight into the history of the park and wildlife conservation efforts.
Evening at leisure. Enjoy a peaceful dinner and share safari stories with fellow travelers. Overnight stay at Jim Corbett.
Day 5: Jim Corbett to Delhi – Tour Ends with Beautiful Memories
After breakfast, check out from the resort and begin your journey back to Delhi. The drive takes approximately 5–6 hours. As you leave the forest region behind, the trip gives you time to reflect on the beautiful moments of the last few days.
From peaceful boating at Naini Lake in Nainital to thrilling jungle safari experiences in Jim Corbett, this journey offers a perfect mix of relaxation and adventure. The cool mountain air, scenic lakes, vibrant Mall Road evenings, and the excitement of wildlife spotting make this tour truly special.
You may stop en route for lunch or refreshments. By afternoon or evening, you arrive back in Delhi, marking the end of your 5-day Nature Retreat.
Though the tour concludes, the memories of misty hills, serene lakes, and wild forests stay with you for a long time. This short yet refreshing getaway is perfect for families, couples, and friends looking to escape city life and reconnect with nature.
End of tour with unforgettable experiences.
