Travel Distance & Time: Arrival by flight/train/road
Welcome to the Pink City of Rajasthan! Upon arrival at Jaipur International Airport, railway station, or by road, you'll be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel. After check-in and refreshment, begin your royal journey with a visit to the local markets and get a feel for the vibrant culture of Jaipur. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner featuring authentic Rajasthani cuisine including dal baati churma, gatte ki sabzi, and traditional sweets. The Pink City gets its name from the terracotta-pink colored buildings that were painted in 1876 to welcome Prince Albert Edward. This UNESCO World Heritage city was founded in 1727 by Maharaja Jai Singh II and represents one of India's first planned cities. The evening can be spent exploring the bustling Bapu Bazaar and Johari Bazaar, famous for textiles, jewelry, and handicrafts. The city's layout follows the principles of Vastu Shastra and ancient Hindu texts on architecture. As the sun sets, witness how the pink sandstone buildings glow in golden hues, creating a magical atmosphere that has enchanted travelers for centuries. Rest well tonight as tomorrow brings exciting adventures exploring the city's magnificent forts and palaces.
Day 2 – Full Day Jaipur Sightseeing
Travel Distance & Time: Local sightseeing (30-40 km total)
Start your day early with a visit to the magnificent Amer Fort, located 11 kilometers from the city center. This UNESCO World Heritage site, built in pale yellow and pink sandstone with white marble, stands majestically atop a hill overlooking Maota Lake. The fort complex features four main sections with their own courtyards, including the famous Sheesh Mahal (Mirror Palace), Diwan-e-Aam (Hall of Public Audience), and Diwan-e-Khas (Hall of Private Audience). Enjoy an optional elephant ride to reach the fort entrance, following ancient royal traditions. The intricate mirror work, frescoes, and architectural details showcase the perfect blend of Rajput and Mughal styles. After lunch, visit the iconic Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), a five-story pyramidal structure with 953 intricately carved windows. Built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh, this honeycomb-shaped palace allowed royal ladies to observe street festivals while maintaining their purdah. The palace resembles Lord Krishna's crown, reflecting the maharaja's devotion. Continue to the City Palace complex, a magnificent blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture, housing museums with royal artifacts, textiles, and paintings. End your day at Jantar Mantar, the world's largest stone astronomical observatory built by Maharaja Jai Singh II. Evening at leisure or visit Chokhi Dhani for cultural entertainment and traditional Rajasthani dinner.
Day 3 – Jaipur to Jodhpur
Travel Distance & Time: 334 km / 5 hours 30 minutes by road
After breakfast, depart for Jodhpur, the Blue City of Rajasthan. The journey takes you through the rustic landscapes of Rajasthan, passing through small villages and desert terrain. Jodhpur, founded in 1459 by Rao Jodha, is famous for its blue-painted houses that create a stunning azure carpet when viewed from the mighty Mehrangarh Fort. The blue color was traditionally used by Brahmins to identify their homes, but gradually spread throughout the old city, creating a unique visual spectacle. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and freshen up. In the afternoon, visit the bustling Sardar Market near the Clock Tower (Ghanta Ghar), where you can shop for spices, textiles, handicrafts, and the famous Jodhpuri mojaris (traditional shoes). The market's narrow lanes are filled with the aroma of spices and the sounds of traditional music. The city is also famous for its culinary specialties including mirchi bada, mawa kachori, and lassi. As evening approaches, witness the sunset from your hotel or a rooftop restaurant, watching as the blue city transforms into a golden hue under the desert sun. The city's strategic location made it an important trading center on the ancient spice and silk routes. Rest well tonight as tomorrow you'll explore one of India's most magnificent forts and experience the royal grandeur of the Rathore dynasty.
Day 4 – Full Day Jodhpur Sightseeing
Travel Distance & Time: Local sightseeing (20-30 km total)
Begin your day with a visit to the spectacular Mehrangarh Fort, one of India's largest and most magnificent forts, towering 400 feet above the city. Built by Rao Jodha in 1459, this impregnable fortress showcases jaw-dropping architecture with its 120-foot-tall walls carved from the very rock on which it stands. The fort houses several palaces including Moti Mahal (Pearl Palace), Phool Mahal (Flower Palace), Sheesh Mahal (Mirror Palace), and Jhanki Mahal, each adorned with elaborate frescoes, mirror work, and lattice windows. The museum displays an impressive collection of palanquins, elephant howdahs, weapons, royal portraits, and ceremonial artifacts. From the ramparts, enjoy panoramic views of Jodhpur's blue cityscape spreading like an azure carpet below. Visit the Chamunda Mata Temple within the fort premises, dedicated to Goddess Durga. The seven gates of the fort, including Jai Pol and Fateh Pol, narrate tales of historic battles and victories. After lunch, visit Jaswant Thada, the beautiful marble cenotaph built in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. Known as the "Taj Mahal of Marwar," this architectural gem features intricate marble lattice work and peaceful gardens. Continue to Umaid Bhawan Palace, one of the world's largest private residences, built between 1928-1943. Part of it serves as a luxury hotel while sections house a museum showcasing royal artifacts, vintage cars, and clocks. Evening free for shopping or relaxation.
Day 5 – Jodhpur to Udaipur
Travel Distance & Time: 259 km / 4 hours 30 minutes by road

The route takes you through the beautiful Aravalli Hills, offering glimpses of rural Rajasthan's changing landscapes from desert terrain to green hills. En route, you can visit the famous Ranakpur Jain Temple (optional), renowned for its 1,444 intricately carved marble pillars, each unique in design. Udaipur, founded in 1553 by Maharana Udai Singh II, is considered one of India's most romantic cities, set amidst the Aravalli Hills and centered around beautiful lakes. The city served as the capital of the Mewar Kingdom and is famous for its palaces, temples, and havelis. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and enjoy some leisure time. In the evening, enjoy a romantic boat ride on Lake Pichola, the city's most famous lake, watching the sunset paint the City Palace and Jag Mandir in golden hues. The boat ride offers spectacular views of the City Palace complex, Jag Mandir island palace, and the famous Lake Palace (now a luxury hotel) seemingly floating on the lake's surface. The serene waters reflect the magnificent architecture, creating a dreamlike atmosphere that has inspired countless artists, writers, and filmmakers. The cool breeze from the lake provides respite from the desert heat, while the surrounding hills create a picturesque backdrop. This magical city has been the backdrop for numerous Bollywood films and is often called the "Venice of the East" for its beautiful lakes and romantic ambiance.
