Day wise Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival – Drive to Shimla (Entering the Queen of Hills)

Your mountain escape begins as you arrive at Chandigarh or Delhi. After a warm welcome, you settle into your vehicle and begin the journey towards Shimla. The city traffic slowly fades behind you, and soon the road begins to climb gently into the Shivalik hills.

As you cross Kalka, the transformation is magical. Wide plains turn into winding hill roads. Pine trees line the slopes, the air becomes cooler, and every curve opens to a fresh mountain view. Small roadside dhabas invite you for chai breaks, and the relaxed pace of the hills instantly refreshes your mood.

By afternoon, you reach Shimla — the timeless Queen of Hills. After check-in and some rest, the evening calls for a stroll on the famous Mall Road. Street cafés, colonial-era buildings, and the iconic Christ Church glowing under soft lights create a postcard-perfect atmosphere. A walk to The Ridge offers stunning views of the surrounding valleys.

The day ends with a warm dinner and cozy mountain sleep, as the cool breeze gently reminds you — the Himalayas have welcomed you.

Day 2: Shimla – Kufri Excursion & Hill Town Charm

Morning in Shimla feels crisp and peaceful. After breakfast, you head towards Kufri, a scenic spot known for panoramic Himalayan views. The drive itself is beautiful — dense forests, deep valleys, and fresh mountain air accompany you throughout.

At Kufri, you can enjoy pony rides, short walks to viewpoints, and fun activities. On clear days, the snow-capped peaks appear in the distance, standing tall against the blue sky. The calmness of the place makes you pause and simply admire nature’s beauty.

Returning to Shimla, the sightseeing continues with stops at Green Valley and Lakkar Bazaar, known for wooden handicrafts and winter wear. If interested, you may visit Jakhoo Temple perched atop the highest hill in town, offering breathtaking views.

Evening once again belongs to Mall Road. Whether you sip hot coffee, try local snacks, or shop for souvenirs, Shimla’s charm feels warm and welcoming.

Day 3: Shimla to Manali – A Valley Drive to Remember

After breakfast, you bid farewell to Shimla and begin one of the most scenic drives of the journey towards Manali. The road winds through beautiful valleys, crossing towns like Mandi while the lively Beas River flows alongside as your constant companion.

The landscape keeps changing — thick pine forests, open valleys, apple orchards, and charming Himachali homes perched on hillsides. You may stop at Kullu to explore the famous shawl factories or visit the Vaishno Mata Temple for a peaceful halt.

As you approach Manali, the mountains grow taller and snow-covered peaks start peeking through clouds. The air feels cooler, fresher, and filled with mountain energy.

By evening, you reach Manali and check into your hotel. After a long but beautiful journey, you can relax or take a gentle walk around Mall Road. The sound of the river, the chill in the air, and the mountain vibe set the perfect tone for the days ahead.

Day 4: Manali Local Sightseeing – Temples & Mountain Calm

Morning in Manali feels peaceful. The sound of the Beas River flows softly in the background while cool mountain air fills your room. After breakfast, your exploration of Manali begins.

The first stop is the iconic Hadimba Devi Temple, surrounded by tall deodar trees. The wooden architecture and calm atmosphere make the place feel almost magical. Walking through the forested path, you sense both history and serenity blending beautifully.

Next, you head towards Old Manali, where small cafés, wooden houses, and relaxed mountain vibes create a completely different mood. A visit to Manu Temple adds a spiritual touch to the day. As you wander through narrow lanes, the scent of fresh bakery items and sound of the river below add charm to every step.

Later, visit Vashisht Hot Springs, known for natural sulphur water believed to have healing properties. Many travellers simply sit near the springs, enjoying the peaceful surroundings.

The afternoon is free for leisure. Some choose to relax at the hotel, others explore Mall Road for woollens, souvenirs, and local Himachali snacks. As evening lights twinkle across the valley, Manali feels cosy and welcoming.

Day 5: Solang Valley & Atal Tunnel – Adventure in the Snow

Today is the most exciting part of your journey. After breakfast, you head to Solang Valley, the adventure capital of Himachal Pradesh. As you reach, snow-covered peaks surround you from all sides, creating a breathtaking landscape.

Depending on the season, you can enjoy paragliding, ropeway rides, ATV biking, skiing, or simply playing in the snow. The open meadows and towering mountains make every activity feel more thrilling. Even standing still and absorbing the scenery feels like an experience.

Weather permitting, you drive through the engineering marvel of Atal Tunnel. Emerging on the other side feels like entering a different world — dramatic landscapes, waterfalls, and wide-open valleys near Sissu. It’s a photographer’s paradise.

After a day filled with adventure and mountain views, you return to Manali. A hot cup of chai tastes extra special after playing in the cold. The night ends with happy conversations and memories of snow-filled moments.

Day 6: Manali to Chandigarh/Delhi – Journey Back with Memories

The final morning in Manali begins slowly. After breakfast, you check out and start your return journey to Chandigarh or Delhi.

As the vehicle descends through valleys, the Beas River accompanies you one last time. The tall mountains gradually shrink behind you, replaced by open plains and wider highways. Stops along the way offer time for refreshments and a final taste of North Indian dhaba food.

The drive feels reflective — everyone quietly revisits their favourite moments: Shimla’s Mall Road, Kufri’s viewpoints, Manali’s temples, Solang’s snow adventures. The mountains may be behind you now, but their calmness lingers within.

By evening, you reach your drop point. Though the tour ends here, the memories of pine forests, snowy peaks, and cool mountain breeze remain fresh — reminding you that the Himalayas always call you back.
