Day wise Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival at Siliguri and Transfer to Darjeeling
Your Himalayan journey begins with arrival at Bagdogra Airport or NJP Railway Station near Siliguri, the gateway to the Eastern Himalayas. After meeting the tour representative, begin a scenic drive towards Darjeeling, famously known as the Queen of Hills. The drive takes around 3 to 4 hours and is filled with breathtaking mountain scenery.
As the road slowly climbs into the hills, travelers will see lush green valleys, misty mountains, and the famous Darjeeling tea gardens spread across the slopes. These tea estates produce some of the finest tea in the world. The journey itself becomes a memorable introduction to the beauty of the Himalayas.
Small roadside markets, colorful houses, and views of the winding mountain roads make the drive enjoyable. Weather in the hills is usually cool and refreshing compared to the plains of Siliguri.
Upon arrival in Darjeeling, check into the hotel and relax for a while after the journey. In the evening, you may take a pleasant walk around the famous Mall Road and Chowrasta, the heart of Darjeeling town. This lively square is surrounded by small cafés, handicraft shops, and souvenir stores selling woolens, local handicrafts, and Darjeeling tea.
The peaceful mountain atmosphere, cool breeze, and colonial charm of Darjeeling create a perfect start to the tour.

Day 2 – Darjeeling Local Sightseeing
Early in the morning, visit the famous Tiger Hill to witness one of the most spectacular sunrises in India. As the first rays of sunlight touch the snow-covered peaks of Mount Kanchenjunga, the mountains glow in golden colors creating a breathtaking view.
On the way back to the hotel, visit the historic Ghoom Monastery, one of the oldest Tibetan Buddhist monasteries in the region. Nearby is the famous Batasia Loop, a unique railway track built in a spiral shape where the Darjeeling Himalayan Toy Train passes through. From here visitors can enjoy panoramic views of Darjeeling town and the surrounding mountains.
After breakfast, continue exploring Darjeeling with visits to important attractions like the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, which displays the history of Himalayan expeditions and mountaineering achievements.
Next visit the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, home to rare Himalayan animals such as the snow leopard and red panda. Later visit Tenzing Rock, a popular rock climbing spot named after the legendary mountaineer Tenzing Norgay.
The sightseeing also includes a visit to the peaceful Japanese Temple and Peace Pagoda, where travelers can enjoy serene surroundings and beautiful views of the mountains.
Evening is free for shopping or exploring Darjeeling’s local markets.

Day 3 – Darjeeling to Gangtok
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin your journey towards Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim. The drive takes around 4 to 5 hours and follows the scenic route along the beautiful Teesta River.
The road passes through forests, mountain villages, and river valleys offering spectacular views along the way. Travelers often stop at scenic points for photography or tea breaks while enjoying the fresh mountain air.
During the drive you will cross small towns and bridges over the Teesta River which flows through deep green valleys. The changing landscape from Darjeeling hills to the vibrant state of Sikkim makes the journey interesting.
Upon arrival in Gangtok, check into the hotel and relax. Gangtok is a lively hill city known for its clean streets, monasteries, and beautiful mountain views.
In the evening, visitors can explore the famous MG Marg, the main shopping and cultural street of Gangtok. This pedestrian-friendly area is full of restaurants, cafés, souvenir shops, and local handicrafts. It is a great place to enjoy local food, buy souvenirs, and experience the friendly culture of Sikkim.

Day 4 – Gangtok Sightseeing
After breakfast, proceed for an exciting day of sightseeing around Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim. Surrounded by beautiful mountains and valleys, Gangtok offers a wonderful mix of natural beauty, culture, and spirituality.
The day usually begins with an excursion to the famous Tsomgo Lake, located at an altitude of around 12,400 feet. This stunning glacial lake remains frozen during winter and reflects the surrounding snow-covered mountains. The calm water and scenic landscape make it one of the most beautiful places in Sikkim.
Nearby is the sacred Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir, a shrine dedicated to an Indian soldier who is believed to protect the region even today. The temple holds great respect among both locals and soldiers stationed in the area.
After returning to Gangtok, continue with local sightseeing. Visit Tashi View Point, which offers breathtaking views of the Kanchenjunga mountain range on clear days. Next visit Ganesh Tok, a small temple located on a hilltop that also provides panoramic views of the city and mountains.
You will also visit the Flower Exhibition Centre, known for displaying a wide variety of Himalayan flowers and orchids. Another important attraction is the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, a center dedicated to the study of Tibetan culture and Buddhism.
In the evening, spend some leisure time again at MG Marg, enjoying the lively market atmosphere.

Day 5 – Gangtok to Pelling
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive towards Pelling, a beautiful hill town in West Sikkim. The journey takes around 5 to 6 hours and passes through scenic mountain landscapes, forests, rivers, and small villages.
During the drive, travelers can enjoy peaceful surroundings and views of the Himalayan mountains. The route offers several picturesque spots where you may stop briefly to enjoy the scenery or take photographs.
Upon arrival in Pelling, check into the hotel and relax. Pelling is known for offering some of the most spectacular views of Mount Kanchenjunga, especially during clear weather when the snow-covered peaks appear very close.
Later proceed for sightseeing around Pelling. Visit the famous Pemayangtse Monastery, one of the oldest and most important monasteries in Sikkim. The monastery reflects traditional Buddhist architecture and provides a peaceful spiritual atmosphere.
Next visit the historic Rabdentse Ruins, which once served as the capital of the Kingdom of Sikkim. From here visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.
Another major attraction is the Chenrezig Statue and Pelling Sky Walk, where travelers can walk on a glass sky bridge and enjoy stunning views of the Himalayan landscape.

Day 6 – Pelling to Siliguri Departure
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin the return journey towards Siliguri / Bagdogra Airport / NJP Railway Station.
The drive takes approximately 5 to 6 hours, descending gradually from the mountains back to the plains. Along the way, travelers will once again enjoy beautiful views of forests, rivers, and hillside villages.
The road passes through scenic valleys and along winding mountain routes that offer the final glimpses of the majestic Himalayas. Travelers can stop briefly at viewpoints or small roadside cafés for refreshments during the journey.
As the journey continues, the landscape slowly changes from cool mountain hills to the warmer plains near Siliguri. This drive marks the end of a memorable Himalayan experience filled with mountains, monasteries, tea gardens, and breathtaking scenery.
Upon arrival in Siliguri, guests will be dropped at Bagdogra Airport or NJP Railway Station for their onward journey.
Your tour concludes with wonderful memories of Darjeeling’s tea gardens, Gangtok’s vibrant culture, Pelling’s peaceful monasteries, and the majestic Himalayan views of Kanchenjunga.
