Day 1 – Delhi to Haridwar

Your sacred Himalayan journey begins from Delhi in the early morning as the group departs for Haridwar, one of the holiest cities in India. The distance between Delhi and Haridwar is approximately 220 km, and the drive takes around 5 to 6 hours through the plains of northern India.

As the journey progresses, the landscape gradually changes and the spiritual atmosphere of Uttarakhand becomes evident. Haridwar, located on the banks of the holy Ganga River, is an important pilgrimage destination and one of the entry points to the Char Dham Yatra.

Upon arrival in Haridwar, check in to the hotel and take some time to relax after the journey. Later in the afternoon, the group proceeds to visit Har Ki Pauri, the most sacred ghat of Haridwar. It is believed that taking a dip in the holy waters of the Ganga here cleanses the soul and washes away sins.

In the evening, witness the famous Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri, a mesmerizing spiritual ceremony where priests perform rituals with large lamps while devotional chants fill the air. Hundreds of pilgrims gather here every evening, creating an atmosphere of devotion and divine energy.

After the aarti, travelers may explore the nearby local markets which offer religious souvenirs, handicrafts, and traditional items.

Later, return to the hotel for dinner.

Day 2 – Haridwar to Kedarnath

After an early breakfast, begin the journey towards Kedarnath, one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites dedicated to Lord Shiva. The drive takes travelers through the scenic mountain roads of the Garhwal Himalayas, offering breathtaking views of rivers, valleys, and forests.

The journey continues through important towns like Rudraprayag and Guptkashi before reaching Gaurikund, the base point for the Kedarnath trek. From Gaurikund, pilgrims undertake the 16 km trek to Kedarnath Temple. Those who prefer can also choose pony, palki, or helicopter services depending on availability.

The trek route follows the Mandakini River, and the surroundings are filled with beautiful mountain views and the spiritual energy of fellow pilgrims chanting prayers.

Upon reaching Kedarnath, pilgrims proceed for darshan at the Kedarnath Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. The temple stands majestically against the backdrop of snow-covered Himalayan peaks and offers a deeply spiritual experience.

After darshan, pilgrims spend some time in the temple area and may visit nearby locations such as Bhairavnath Temple.

Day 3 – Kedarnath to Badrinath

Early in the morning, devotees may again visit the Kedarnath Temple for morning darshan and prayers. The peaceful atmosphere of the Himalayan surroundings makes the experience truly divine.

After darshan, begin the descent from Kedarnath to Gaurikund. The trek down follows the same scenic path along the Mandakini River.

Upon reaching Gaurikund, continue the journey by road towards Badrinath, another major pilgrimage destination of the Char Dham circuit. The drive passes through stunning Himalayan landscapes, river valleys, and picturesque mountain villages.

Badrinath is located at an altitude of about 3,100 meters and lies on the banks of the Alaknanda River. The town is surrounded by the majestic Nar and Narayan mountain ranges, creating a breathtaking setting.

In the evening, pilgrims visit the sacred Badrinath Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Before entering the temple, devotees traditionally take a dip in the Tapt Kund, a natural hot water spring located near the temple.

After darshan, spend some time exploring the temple surroundings and enjoying the peaceful Himalayan atmosphere.

Day 4 – Badrinath to Rishikesh

The day begins early in the morning with another opportunity to visit the Badrinath Temple for darshan. The peaceful morning atmosphere of the temple, surrounded by the majestic Himalayan peaks, creates a deeply spiritual experience for pilgrims.

After darshan and breakfast, travelers may briefly explore nearby attractions before departure. One of the most interesting places is Mana Village, located about 3 km from Badrinath. Known as the last village of India before the Indo-Tibetan border, Mana is famous for its mythological and historical importance. Visitors can see Vyas Gufa, where Sage Veda Vyasa is believed to have composed the Mahabharata, and Bhim Pul, a natural rock bridge associated with the Pandavas from the epic Mahabharata.

Later, check out from the hotel and begin the journey towards Rishikesh. The drive from Badrinath to Rishikesh is approximately 300 km and takes around 9 to 10 hours, passing through beautiful Himalayan valleys and important towns such as Joshimath, Rudraprayag, and Devprayag. These places are known for their sacred river confluences where different Himalayan rivers merge to form the holy Ganga.

The scenic drive offers breathtaking views of mountains, rivers, and forests. Short breaks are taken along the way for refreshments and relaxation.

By evening, the group arrives in Rishikesh, a peaceful spiritual town located on the banks of the Ganga River and known worldwide as the Yoga Capital of the World.

Day 5 – Rishikesh to Delhi

After breakfast, begin the day by exploring the spiritual town of Rishikesh. This beautiful town attracts pilgrims, yogis, and travelers from around the world who come to experience its peaceful atmosphere and sacred surroundings.

The first visit is to the famous Ram Jhula and Laxman Jhula, two iconic suspension bridges built across the Ganga River. These bridges connect various temples, ashrams, and markets and offer wonderful views of the flowing river and surrounding hills.

Travelers may also visit Parmarth Niketan Ashram, one of the largest and most well-known spiritual centers in Rishikesh. The ashram hosts yoga sessions, spiritual discourses, and evening Ganga aarti.

After completing sightseeing, travelers may explore the local markets where various handicrafts, spiritual books, and souvenirs are available.

Later, check out from the hotel and begin the return journey to Delhi, which is approximately 240 km away and takes about 5 to 6 hours by road.

The drive passes through scenic landscapes and towns of Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh before reaching the capital city.

By evening, the group arrives in Delhi, marking the end of this sacred pilgrimage through the Himalayas.
