Day 1 – Arrival in Trivandrum and Transfer to Madurai

Arrival at Trivandrum International Airport or Railway Station, where our representative will welcome you and assist with the onward journey to Madurai. The drive from Trivandrum to Madurai takes around 6–7 hours and passes through beautiful landscapes, small towns and countryside areas of Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

Madurai is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in India and is often referred to as the “Temple City of Tamil Nadu.” The city has a rich cultural heritage and has been an important center of religion, learning and trade for centuries.

Upon arrival in Madurai, check in at the hotel and take some time to relax after the long journey. In the evening proceed to visit the magnificent Meenakshi Amman Temple, one of the most famous temples in South India. This historic temple is dedicated to Goddess Meenakshi and Lord Sundareswarar (a form of Lord Shiva).

The temple is renowned for its towering gopurams (gateway towers) covered with thousands of colorful sculptures depicting gods, goddesses and mythological stories. Inside the temple complex visitors can explore beautiful halls, shrines and corridors that reflect the rich architectural heritage of the region.

Travellers may also witness the evening temple ceremony, a traditional ritual performed daily which adds to the spiritual experience of the visit.

After temple darshan, travellers can explore the nearby local markets which are famous for traditional handicrafts, flowers, textiles and souvenirs.

Day 2 – Madurai Sightseeing

After breakfast begin a full day sightseeing tour of Madurai, a city known for its ancient temples, vibrant culture and historical significance. The first visit of the day is again to the famous Meenakshi Amman Temple for a peaceful morning darshan.

The temple complex is one of the finest examples of Dravidian architecture and attracts millions of pilgrims and visitors every year. The temple has several beautifully decorated halls including the famous Hall of Thousand Pillars, which showcases stunning stone carvings and sculptures.

After visiting the temple, proceed to Thirumalai Nayak Palace, a magnificent palace built in the 17th century by King Thirumalai Nayak. The palace is known for its grand architecture with massive pillars, large courtyards and impressive arches that reflect a blend of Dravidian and Islamic styles.

Later visit Gandhi Memorial Museum, which houses a rich collection of photographs and exhibits related to India’s freedom struggle. The museum provides insights into the life and contributions of Mahatma Gandhi.

Travellers can also visit Alagar Kovil, a beautiful temple located at the foothills of the Alagar Hills, surrounded by scenic greenery.

In the evening explore the bustling markets of Madurai which are famous for textiles, handicrafts and traditional South Indian items.

Day 3 – Madurai to Rameshwaram

After breakfast check out from the hotel and begin the journey towards Rameshwaram, one of the most sacred pilgrimage destinations in India. The drive from Madurai to Rameshwaram takes approximately 3–4 hours.

Rameshwaram is located on Pamban Island and is closely associated with the legend of the Ramayana. According to mythology, Lord Rama built a bridge from this place to Sri Lanka to rescue Goddess Sita.

On the way travellers will cross the famous Pamban Bridge, one of India’s most spectacular sea bridges connecting the island of Rameshwaram to the mainland. The bridge offers breathtaking views of the surrounding sea and is considered a major attraction of the region.

Upon arrival in Rameshwaram, visit the sacred Ramanathaswamy Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlinga temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is famous for its long corridors, intricately carved pillars and holy water tanks.

Pilgrims also visit Agni Theertham, the sacred seashore located near the temple where devotees take a holy dip before entering the temple complex.

Later travellers may visit Dhanushkodi, the ghost town located at the tip of the island where the Indian Ocean and Bay of Bengal meet. The place offers beautiful coastal views and has historical significance.

Day 4 – Rameshwaram to Kanyakumari

After breakfast check out from the hotel and begin the journey towards Kanyakumari, the southernmost tip of India. The drive from Rameshwaram to Kanyakumari takes around 5–6 hours and passes through scenic coastal landscapes and traditional towns of Tamil Nadu.

Kanyakumari is a unique destination where the Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal and Indian Ocean meet, creating a spectacular natural setting. The town is also known for its spiritual significance and beautiful ocean views.

Upon arrival in Kanyakumari, check in at the hotel and take some time to relax. Later proceed to visit the famous Kanyakumari Temple, dedicated to Goddess Kanyakumari, a form of Goddess Parvati. The temple is an important pilgrimage site and attracts devotees from across the country.

In the evening visit the seashore viewpoint to witness the beautiful sunset over the ocean, one of the most famous experiences in Kanyakumari. The sight of the sun slowly setting over the waters where three seas meet is truly breathtaking.

Visitors may also explore the nearby local markets where traditional handicrafts, seashell products and souvenirs are available.

Day 5 – Kanyakumari Sightseeing

Early in the morning travellers may wake up to witness the spectacular sunrise over the Indian Ocean, one of the highlights of visiting Kanyakumari. Watching the sun rise from the horizon over the sea creates a memorable and peaceful experience.

After breakfast proceed for sightseeing in Kanyakumari. The first visit is to the famous Vivekananda Rock Memorial, located on a small island just off the coast. This memorial marks the place where Swami Vivekananda meditated in 1892 before beginning his mission to spread Indian philosophy to the world. Visitors reach the memorial by a short ferry ride across the sea.

Next visit the towering Thiruvalluvar Statue, a massive statue dedicated to the great Tamil poet and philosopher Thiruvalluvar. Standing at about 133 feet tall, the statue is one of the most prominent landmarks in Kanyakumari.

Later visit the Gandhi Memorial, built at the place where the ashes of Mahatma Gandhi were kept before immersion in the sea. The structure has been designed so that sunlight falls directly on the spot where the ashes were kept on Gandhi’s birthday.

Travellers can also spend time exploring the nearby beaches and local markets where souvenirs, handicrafts and seashell products are sold.

Day 6 – Kanyakumari to Trivandrum Departure

After breakfast check out from the hotel and begin the journey towards Trivandrum (Thiruvananthapuram), the capital city of Kerala. The drive from Kanyakumari to Trivandrum takes around 2–3 hours and passes through scenic coastal and countryside landscapes.

Upon arrival in Trivandrum, travellers may proceed for a short sightseeing tour depending on departure timings. One of the most famous attractions in the city is the Padmanabhaswamy Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. This temple is one of the richest and most important temples in India and is known for its magnificent Dravidian architecture.

Visitors may also explore the nearby Napier Museum and Sri Chitra Art Gallery, which showcase a rich collection of historical artifacts, paintings and traditional artworks of Kerala.

Trivandrum is also known for its lively markets where travellers can shop for traditional handicrafts, spices and souvenirs before concluding the journey.

Later you will be transferred to Trivandrum Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey.
