Day 01:

Arrival in Chennai

The tour commences as you arrive at Chennai Airport. Then, you will meet our representative, who'll escort you to one of our listed hotels. Finally, you will follow some check-in formalities at the hotel and head to your room. Next, relax for the remaining part of the day. In the evening, take a leisurely walk to explore the nearby area. Later, come back to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 02:

Chennai - Madurai (By Flight)

In the morning, have breakfast, and get a transfer to catch your flight to Madurai. Our representative will meet you at Madurai Airport and escort you to your pre-booked hotel. Then, having rested for a while, set off on a guided tour to Madurai city. Today, you will cover the major tourist attractions, including Sri Meenakshi Temple, Aayiram Kaal Mandapam, Gandhi Museum, Sri Subramanya Swamy Temple. and the Alagarkoil Temple. Then, spend a leisurely afternoon indulging in the activity of your choice. Later, you will return to your hotel, munch on dinner, and sleep peacefully.

Day 03:

Madurai ? Thekkady (150 km/3 hrs 40 min)

Get up, enjoy a crunchy breakfast, and check out from the hotel to Thekkady by private transfer. While driving to Thekkady, enjoy the drive as the road winds through the thick jungles and rich plantations. Upon arrival at the pre-booked hotel, complete the check-in formalities, and rest in your room. In the afternoon, proceed to Periyar Wildlife Tiger Reserve to enjoy the boat safari. Enjoy the wildlife and natural beauty here while boating. Later, head to your hotel for a munching dinner and get a restful sleep.

Day 04:

Thekkady - Cochin (143 km/ 4 hrs 2 min)

After enjoying a sumptuous breakfast, start your drive to Cochin. On arrival at one of our enlisted hotels, follow the check-in formalities, and unwind in your room. This day of your Essence of South India Tour Package will be spent at leisure. In the late evening, you will enjoy your last meal of the day and jump on your bed for an overnight stay on your comfortable bed.

Day 05:

Cochin

After having your breakfast, embark on a sightseeing tour of Cochin which will include visits to places like the famous Mattancherry Palace, St. Francis Church, and the Jewish Synagogue. You will also see the giant Chinese Fishing Nets being lowered on the famous Vasco-da-Gama Square, offering a spectacular view to its visitors. In the evening, feel delighted to see the Kathakali dance performance by trained dancers. Get back to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay in Cochin.

Day 06:

Cochin - Ooty (274 km / 7 hrs 20 min)

In the morning, after breakfast, drive straight to Ooty. On reaching Ooty, check-in at one of our listed hotels. Rest and relax for the day at the hotel. In the evening, take a leisurely walk to the nearby area. Later, you will return to your hotel for a meal and enjoy your overnight stay in Ooty.

Day 07:

Ooty

In the morning, leave your beds early and head for a tour of Ooty after grabbing a quick breakfast. Today, you will visit the Botanical Gardens, with a peaceful Lotus Pond, then cover Doddabetta Peak. After that, you will cover other attractions, including tea estates, Lamb's Rock, Dolphin's Nose (a picnic spot), Ooty Lake, Catherine Falls, and Kodanadu's View Point. Finally, return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 08:

Ooty - Mysore (125 km/ 3 hrs 24 min)

After having your breakfast, leave for Mysore by road. On arrival in Mysore, check into one of our listed hotels. Take some rest, then visit the Golden Royal Elephant, The Mysore Palace, Chamundeshwari Temple, Brindavan Gardens, Mysore Zoo, and the Durbar hall. And if time permits, you can visit the St. Philomena's Church, one of the country's largest churches. Finally, return to your hotel with lots of memories and experiences. Have your dinner and spend a night in the hotel.

Day 09:

Mysore - Bangalore (145 km/ 2 hrs 39 min)Departure

Post breakfast, leave for Bangalore. After arrival in Bangalore, explore the "City of Gardens''. Later, start on your Bangalore city tours and visit Vidhana Soudha ? the State's Legislature and Secretariat, and Nandi Temple. After the city excursion, get transferred to the Bangalore airport for your flight to your onward destination.

As everyone is becoming a frequent traveller now, we suggest that you make your own travel accessories kit to ensure a stress free holiday.
